Off to the French Riviera? Fancy getting along to the glitz, glam and possible celeb spotting of film capital Cannes as well as heady Monte Carlo? Park yourself at Camping Panoramic as a Riviera starting point: it's set between Cannes and Grasse, a quick drive from the sandy beaches of Cannes and Mandelieu, and within easy day trip distance of the famed French spots of Nice (35 kilometres) and Monte Carlo (60 kilometres). More glitz and glam is at Saint-Tropez 70 kilometres away. The terrace on site is worth parking oneself at for a bit too, set overlooking the nearby hills covered with flowering mimosas: have a cool drink here or by the Panoramic pool, before an evening in the site restaurant to try as many French dishes as can possibly be managed on one trip (French holidays are not a time to diet). As well as the pool, bar-restaurant and terrace, Camping Panoramic also has a spacious play area with swings and slide; ping pong table; a pétanque court and a games room with video games and a pool table. Toilets are available as well as a launderette; amenities are accessible for guests with reduced mobility.

Local attractions

The smashing town of Cannes is 10 kilometres from Camping Panoramic, for days lurking on its golden sandy beach and around its central promenade the Boulevard de la Croisette (where care must be taken not to spend the next year's rent/mortgage in its lush boutiques). For a quieter vibe, wander around the small and scenic village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a place of medieval houses, art galleries, cafés, more boutiques and many arts and craft shops for many souvenirs: financial risk should probably be assessed around these parts too... Splendid Nice 35 kilometres away should have at least a couple of days devoted to it, to stroll along the broad seafront of the Promenade des Anglais and to sunbathe on the golden sands; visit the markets along the Cours Saleya and arty museums like the Matisse Museum and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art MAMAC; to see swish pads like the Massena Palace or the Hotel Negresco, and – if your wallet can stand it – searching for more luxury goods among the swish Nice city shops.
