What un splendide locale has Camping La Plage D'Argens on the French Riviera, set by the seaside on a strip of unspoiled coast, between Fréjus and Saint-Aygulf and bordered by the river of the Argens... And the nearest beach is 600 metres away via a pedestrian path – also splendide. The site is shaded by eucalyptus and other leafy trees, and has a 250m² aqua park with a large heated outdoor pool and a paddling pool, both heated to 27°C, as well as water games and small slides for small sorts. There's also a bar, a restaurant, a snack bar and shops including one for groceries. La Plage D'Argens organises activities and entertainment for adults and kids, and kids' clubs in April, July and August. A teens' club is held in July and August; play areas for all ages and plenty of water activities to get stuck into are also on site.

Local attractions

To the beach? The closest beach to Camping La Plage D'Argens is 600 metres away and is divided into four different areas: kitesurfing area, dog friendly, family friendly and nudist. When it comes to exploring the rest of the coast, take a boat to the likes of Saint-Raphaël to Saint-Tropez via Sainte Maxime and Port Grimaud, all very much worth a stop each. The French Riviera spot of Fréjus is also well worth a stop for its historic centre and many hilltop villages nearby; if you're sticking to the urban, be sure to see the church of St. Maximinus, Roman amphitheatre and the ruins of Forum Julii from the city's importance in the time of one J Caesar. The Parc Zoologique de Fréjus is nearby. Aqualand and Luna Park are both within reach for theme park days, and also nearby are a go-karting circuit, the Saint-Raphaël golf course, a bowling centre, treetop adventure parks and the Marineland themed park in Antibes. Nature fans can pedal or stroll the coastal path from Saint-Aygulf to explore the Villepey nature reserve; if you're feeling active, head high up into the Esterel Mountains and their many walks for all fitness levels. The French Riviera is also known for the local Mediterranean cuisine, markets, vineyards and the famed perfumeries of Grasse.
