Torrent Walk Campsite and Bunkhouse

Syntes om: Location was ok, was quiet, peaceful, big sized pitches with the electric ports close by, toilets were clean and warm, was easy to check in and out. Plenty of pitches. Price was excellent for the stay plus electric.

Syntes ikke om: Struggled to use the facilities in the morning due to limited amount, anytime I tried it was over run with people, ended up leaving and using a toilet else where, didn’t quite look like the photos on pitchup although you can make it out, pond had some rubbish in but probably due to the bad weather we’ve had. , wouldn’t like to be there when it’s full up with people, it’s too small for the amount of pitches they have. Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay again

Syntes om: The view and the space was lovely! We were slightly up on the ledges and it was beautiful and nice and quiet.

Syntes ikke om: Nobody to welcome us or speak to. Put on an overgrown and very muddy pitch which we nearly got stuck on. Just sent us text messages. Nobody at reception any time. Didn’t return for second night. Disappointing.

Fra bestyreren: We operate a self check in here which most people appreciate as it means you can go straight to your pitch. We send all relevant information including pitch number, directions and our phone number via text a few hours before arrival. If there is no one in reception at any time, this means that we are working around the campsite or checking/cleaning the toilet and shower blocks. In the event that there is no one at reception there is always a sign on the door which provides a phone number that you can call should you need any assistance. Had you let us know that you weren't happy with your pitch, we would have happily located another pitch for you. We feel this review is unfair as you did not give us the opportunity to help.

Syntes om: Self check in was very convenient. Toilets were clean, showers had good water pressure. Wifi connection was strong. Petrol station and starbucks nearby. Phone signal was decent.

Syntes om: Good location for local walks and close drive to other places to explore. Communication by text/email which was fine. Didn’t see any staff onsite but again, no problem for us. WiFi ok, a bit and miss.

Syntes ikke om: Unfortunately we stayed one the Easter holidays and the weather wasn’t great. Struggled to get the caravan onto the very muddy, sodden pitch. Also, needed help to push the car off the parking space. Pitches very small and close to each other. More gravel pitches needed on site.

Syntes ikke om: Very muddy, no real road to get to pitches. Poor drainage and shower block very tired. The overflow shower block said closed for upgrading ahead of summer and this note was there last year!

Fra bestyreren: We have had months of non stop rain which is impossible to control and when people choose a grass pitch as you did the ground can be very soft after so much rain which causes mud when people drive onto the grass pitch. This is the risk you take when camping at this time of year in Wales! We receive a lot of positive comments about our showerblock and our staff work very hard to keep it clean to a high standard. The signs on the temporary shower block were placed there on Friday Morning, the temporary showerblock was open and being used last year, there were no signs on it. This year we feel it is no longer up to standard and are awaiting delivery of a brand new temporary showerblock which will be up and running in time for summer.

Syntes om: Great scenery, toilets & shower cleanliness, helpful staff, excellent location for days out & walks, felt very secure and safe.

Syntes ikke om: Not enough passing points on the single track road.

Syntes om: The location was incredible. The views that you got to wake up to was breath taking. Everyone that worked on the site were so friendly and helpful. There were so many amenities which were all clean and tidy. Although the weather wasn't the best, we were able to move to a pitch that was better and again although we were stuck in the mud, the employees were there to give us and hand and a push!
