From the A31 Take the Burley turning. It is approximately 4 miles to the village. In Burley village follow the road around the sharp left-hand bend and bear right uphill. Pass the school, cricket pitch and golf club on the left. Continue for 1/2 mile and take the next left (signposted White Buck Inn and Burley Youth Hostel - New Forest is the new name of Burley Youth Hostel). At the White Buck Inn turn left onto the unmade lane. YHA Burley is the third house on the right. Bus information 105, 126 from Christchurch, alight Burley, 1/2 mile. Train information Sway 5.5 miles; New Milton 6 miles. If continuing journey by bus, get off at Southampton; if by bike/foot, at Brockenhurst. If using the postcode, you will probably be directed to the golf club at the far end of Cott Lane from where there is no vehicle access to the hostel.
