Woodview Campsite

Μου άρεσε: Lovely quiet site in the countryside, great shower and toilet facilities. Especially liked the firepit areas by the stream. They have a large indoor play area brilliant for families.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Not really a dislike more a be aware the approach does go through a working farm so you may meet farm traffic but they were very courteous and reversed for me 😀

Μου άρεσε: What a fantastic stay. We were in the Robins Roost cabin with two 10 year olds. The site is so peaceful and beautifully kept with lots of pretty flowers and trees. The fire pits by the brook are brilliant and we loved roasting marshmallows at night. Our cabin was well equipped, spacious and clean. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Shared bathroom facilities were basic, however the family rooms were really handy and had plenty of space to wash and dress. They were kept clean and tidy throughout. The people who run the site seemed pleasant and we saw them hard at work mowing the lawns and tending to the plants. The small shop came in handy for some bits and bobs. The location was great and within driving distance of some great places. We visited Summerleaze beach with the sea pool and also Tintagel castle. We normally camp but for that bit extra we stayed in the cabin and it is great value for money. The camping pitches seemed pretty big with access to drinking taps and electricity. The girls made use of the indoor activities. Great at night to stargaze. Would definitely recommend and will look to return in future.

Μου άρεσε: We loved on 3 night stay in the beach cabin. Very basic and that’s all that was needed! The fact it had electricity was brilliant, for the light when it was dark and also being able to charge up our phones. It was very handy. We loved the outside sitting area among all the flowers and trees too. Many thanks Julia

Δεν μου άρεσε: We do think the bbq outside needs replacing as it’s very dirty and therefore we didn't use it. We used our own cooker and had to balance this on the bbq, as there wasn’t anywhere else to put it. Also a worktop of some kind outside would have been useful too.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. The Outside BBQ is old , but it’s cleaned in between guests. We could have helped you with a work top if you had asked when you were here . There is an outside table with chairs. It enjoys a sheltered spot with privacy from the campsite.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you . We work hard to keep everything clean and tidy. Unfortunately no control over the roads! Please add your complaints to ours, to Torridge District council. However it is only a short ride to the A39, and then lots of interesting places to visit, and surfing beaches to explore .

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your comments . You did not book an electric hook up, but when you decided you wanted a hook up you were offered one of our leads to reach the nearest one. In total there are 80 plug in points, so more than adequate for a small site .
