2 bedroom static caravan (four person)
Liked: * LOCATION: The campsite and our "static caravan" were far from the road, and the place was very quiet. The campsite shares a border with the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (which is worth visiting even if you are not into planes). * STAFF: The campsite owner has been extremely helpful. We had a few minor questions, and she replied to our messages instantly. * CLEANINGNESS: The campsite and our static caravan were spotless, and our caravan was as clean as a good hotel. * ORGANISATION: The campsite was very organised. Chains separate the pitches, there is a one-way system for cars, and parking does not affect children's play.
Disliked: * Weather: it rained quite a lot!

Liked: As a young family with a young daughter, we really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and relaxing as well as having a little park for her to play in.
Disliked: The families were wet and muddy and quite slippery.

From the manager: Hi we are sorry you found the facilities wet and muddy and slippery we had been monitoring this and put wet floor signs up at the entrance, with the amount of rain that fell on Sunday this was alittle out of our control we cleaned these facilities as much as possible to mitigate this thanks

Liked: We stayed in one of the grass pitches at the end of the field, which has a convenient path through to the Lincs Aviation Centre. Pitches are level and even in the heavy rain the ground stayed solid. Very reasonably priced at £16 but would recommend the electric pitches closer to fresh water and Elsan point.
Disliked: Food at the Red Lion: If you're after big portions and don't mind to wait 2 hours for a Takeaway, you're ok. We prefer quality over quantity and don't mind an hours wait. We didn't complain as we did appreciate that it was busy, so we had a few pints and crisps in the garden to tide us over. After nearly 2 hours we did ask at the bar and were told there was a system error. Another 20 minutes later we had our takeaway delivered 🙄

From the manager: Hi, we did apologies for the system error and have been in contact with our system provider who are looking in to this and will correct the error in question, we did warn repeatedly that anyone that had not booked there would be a significant weight due to being extremely busy and all tables being booked out, we had absolutely amazing feed back all weekend regarding our food but I’m afraid due to a system error at missed 2 takeaway meals we have been felt this review and I’m afraid this is out of our control. I would again recommend if you would like to dine with us to prebook as far in advance as you can as we don’t like turn people away but we can only seat what we can. Again we appologies for the system error and i myself dealt with this and prepaired your meals as soon as it was ready many thanks
