Unpowered grass campervan site

Liked: Beautiful field and lovely toilet block, the description of 'portaloo' is misleading - there are proper toilets with wash-hand basins in a lovely wooden hut. These are the only facilities but it was all we needed for a one-night stay on our way home from Scotland!

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Field was perfect for setting up, I liked how available the hosts were as they were always pottering about. Toilets were clean, had plenty of loo roll and sinks with soap - hot water but hey hoo they tell you that! Bonus kid free 🤣

From the manager: Thanks Joanne, much appreciated! We will look forward to next time you stay with us. Fabulous photos btw 🤩

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: - The size of a pitch - Peace and quiet - No under 18s rule - Toilet block nice and clean - Shop 20 min walking distance - Plenty of wood with a firepit

Disliked: - No hot water but it's not a big deal - There's houses nearby, not as remote as preferred, still very nice site though

Unpowered grass campervan site

Liked: Love the location... only 20 minutes away from the motorway . Close to a lovely pub called The Mason's Arms within a 15 minute walk from campsite. Laury and her husband were very nice people and happy to help.

Disliked: Would be lovely if hot water and electricity could be added in the future ..

Adam T. The reviewer booked through Pitchup.com

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: The host was very nice, not intrusive, and felt as though they were easy to contact if you needed anything. The field is large with plenty space to pick from. Toilet facilities were great, fully stocked and clean.

Disliked: More of a suggestion, but a small stone path from the toilets to the edges of field would be perfect! As it was sadly raining during my visit, and being a tent camper, the field got really boggy the more it rained. Meaning muddy puddles/ wet feet were a real concern, especially when dark.

From the manager: Hi Adam, sadly the weather was not too kind to you. You must come again when the sun is out ☀️ Thanks for your review, it is much appreciated.
