Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked: Lots of space on the pitches and very peaceful setting! Lots of wildlife to see. Can understand it may get a bit soggy after heavy rain but was good for us after a short sun spell. Simple amenities which was perfect.
Disliked: None really.

Liked: Beautiful setting, large pitches with a degree of seclusion. Fire pits and firewood (big bags) available for purchase.
Disliked: Not a dislike for us but some might find the facilities a bit too basic.

Liked: Loved the beautiful site with views to South Downs, very peaceful, lots of great walks. It’s basic and back to the nature, toilets could do with a little improvement, however this did not spoil our stay. Liked that owner came by in the evening to check everybody was happy, loved the wood for open fire at night. We were very lucky with the weather but i can imagine it would be difficult for some cars if middle field is water logged. We would definetely like to return.

Liked: Was fine, decent spot to pitch up a tent. I wouldn’t say there’s loads to it but I had a nice time. They have fire pits which is a nice touch and the bloke who runs the camp called Angus comes round to check in and potentially sell you some fire wood if you don’t have any. Very simplistic place, but very enjoyable.

Liked: Simple campsite. Big, open spaces, easy to find a pitch and have a bit of privacy. Relaxed, friendly staff who came over to sell some firewood (exactly what we needed!) and had some useful tips on places to visit/hike. Water taps around the site, not just by the toilets - great. Shower was basic but the water was lovely and warm - what more could you ask for!
Disliked: Cleanliness of toilet (only 1 out of 3) not maintained for the first day. This is mostly the camper who left it in such a state's fault, but the toilet was left like this for quite some time before it was cleaned.

Liked: Myself and my 13 year son stayed over 2 nights, the 2nd night with friends (another father and son duo). We loved it! Great views, quiet, peaceful, lots of space, just exactly what we wanted. Owls hooting at night, and beautiful birdsong at dawn. We went on a huge walk on Saturday around Rogate and saw pheasants, cattle, horses, lambs and the biggest hare ever (plus another family of 5 hare in another field. Definitely going back this summer.
Disliked: Ummmmm….that we couldn’t stay another night…?

Liked: The space for kids to play, the openness to choose your favourite pitch, even on a bank holiday there was plenty of room to accommodate all campers and you still felt you were alone. The fact they send a campsite warden to check on you (Jordan) to make sure you’re settled in and to ensure you have everything you need. He was knowledgeable on surrounding areas and what activities were available to us including good walks. Showers, toilets and washing facilities were available and were excellent. A very well run campsite where you have plenty of peace and quiet, great views and your left alone.
Disliked: I didn’t dislike anything

Liked: Location was good. Quiet and peaceful site - sound of animals and water running. Lots of wildlife. Angus was very friendly (owner)
Disliked: Long uncut grass everywhere. Very wet and very difficult to walk through. Long walk from the car park to the site where you pitch, very muddy, long wet grass, steep drive. Cannot park car near pitch and have to use wheelbarrows to cart all your gear, through mud and grass and ditches. Limited amount of wheelbarrows to do this with, had to walk the whole pitch to find one! Toilets are very smelly and no sinks to wash hands. No lights at the toilet so have to use with door open! Some very dirty with poo stains on the seats. No locks on doors for privacy. Shower door doesn’t shut. I had to use a rope to close it and there is only one. Water is luke cold. No pathways to toilets or shower, just through thick deep mud and grass. Jordan was quite rude about us parking near the tent when we were packing up. We are a family of 5 so had a lot! We couldn’t cart our stuff up and down the hill with a wheelbarrow! It’s a wild site, not for the faint hearted and definitely inaccessible to anyone with any sort of disability. Our parents (63 yrs and 65yrs old) cancelled visiting as they wouldn’t have been able to walk down to the pitch and then to the toilets. I am very accustomed to wild camping and we do it a lot every year but this isn’t family friendly at all and is the most basic I’ve ever seen. The web / advert / site should say that this is the way things are. I would NEVER have booked had I known

Liked: Very peaceful and beautiful site. U got my car stuck by my own fault but the owner wad really helpful very much appreciated.
Disliked: Could do with a sign to show the route to the wheel barrows where you unload your stuff. As someone had moved the fence blocking the access to the very wet track.
