Unpowered grass tent site
Liked: Owner was on site for some of the day and every evening and at night which made me feel safe as a lone traveler. She very kindly helped me pitch my tent and checked I had everything I needed. The site was so peaceful and I had a fantastic time just relaxing, reading and listening to my radio. The site is not far from Lidl so you can stock up on your essentials. For more exploring there is Porthleven and Helston nearby plus a lovely beech at Praa Sands. The sky at night was magnificent with stars, including shooting ones and a lovely moon. With very little light pollution you could really appreciate it. We sat round the fire pit one evening and chatted, a great way to meet new friends. I would definitely recommend the site.
Disliked: I'm not a huge fan of chemical toilets but it was very clean.

Liked: Peace and quiet. Lovely owner. Amazing evening by the firepit. This is a stunning little piece of Cornwall that is close to beaches and towns but away from the crowds, a perfect place to unwind and relax. Compost toilet and a basic but perfectly acceptable shower.
Disliked: Leaving

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked: As the moon climbed slowly in an inky blue sky, I reclined in my chair and looked upwards to see a thousand stars looking back at me, punctuated only by the blazing trail of a shooting star as it traced its path across the night sky. Back at ground level, the popping and crackling of logs in the fire pit competed with chirping grasshoppers which would have given Mediterranean cicadas a run for their money. It's rare to find such peaceful places these days and as the dog and I watched dancing flames we could have been one of our ancestors 10,000 years ago. Lottie’s farm is a special place if you truly value peace, tranquillity and a tangible link to nature. I don't sleep well in unfamiliar surroundings and the little fella is on permanent guard duty, but we both slept as soundly as if we were back home. Lottie’s farm is a great location because it's off the tourist trail with far reaching views across the countryside but close enough to get to the beach at par sands within a 10minute car journey. The site owner was really friendly, telling me nice places to walk with the little fella; she even lent me her bbq as I'd forgotten to pack mine. There is a spotless portaloo on site and whilst there are no showers provided a couple of shower tents are available for anyone that has a solar shower or hand pumped pressure shower. There is fresh water available and a dish washing station, so for a basic campsite it has all the essential bases covered There is no electric hook-up which I see as a bonus as it keeps the noise levels down. This is the first year Lottie’s has opened as a pop up campsite and so it was quiet but it's a large field so I think even if it was busy campers would not be under each other’s feet. In summary it's a little gem in an often overlooked part of Cornwall
Disliked: Not really much of a gripe but the site is on a slight slope and so a bit of thought needs to be given to the orientation of the sleeping mat
