Liked: To be honest, what’s not to like ??? Barton’s field is a lovely and peaceful campsite right next to the river … ok so it’s next to a road also , however both times we have stayed here we haven’t noticed any road noise as such . The field is well kept and cut and facilities include washing up area ( with hot water ) , a shower that is lovely and hot and cleaned regularly by the owners, a spacious changing are by the shower , an easy to find fresh water tap and of course the toilets which also are cleaned regular . What more do you need ? Certainly for us this site is up there among the best we have visited so far and honestly can’t wait to return . The owners are very friendly and easy to contact should you need to , it may still be a pop up campsite but they certainly take pride in what they are doing and ensuring their guests are ok. The location is easy to find and close by to supermarkets etc for supplies , if you are just looking for a quick stopover or a relaxing few days away or even a week then I would recommend you give this place a try.

Liked: Excellent place, level pitch, peaceful with plenty of space and not regimental, how camping should be. Campfire allowed, which is a must. The owner's very friendly, welcoming, easy going and laid back. Personally, I think it's a gem of a place which is rare.

Liked: The riverside setting was amazing! Easy drive into Tiverton to pick up supplies. Owner really friendly and approachable. Grassy but not too muddy given the wet summer we’ve all endured.

Liked: Stayed here for a weekend to get some peace and quiet from noisy neighbours and we weren’t disappointed…. A nice well kept field and a very readable price . Personally we didn’t notice any road noise and the wildlife was an added bonus , we saw the squirrels playing in the trees and herons on the river . The shower was lovely and hot and even a sink with hot water and mirror to have a shave 👍. On-site toilet and drinking water also available and the owners were very friendly and were there daily to make sure that everyone was ok as well as to clean the facilities ( which were kept spotless ). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful few days or just an overnight stop. Hopefully this campsite will extend its opening as it really is amazing and we would love to return again.
