Liked: Site location, absolutely stunning location
Disliked: We paid to have a pitch to put our awning up but we couldn’t because the next travellers over parked to close to our caravan. No clear visible pitch border line in place just a faded slight white mark that is of no use to anyone so wasted £60 for nothing. Also paid for use of a fire pit but had to leave a £20 cash deposit but could t get the deposit back until 9am when reception opened up but I like to leave early to beat the traffic so lost £80 in total for nothing. Costing travellers money for nothing is a bit scammy in my opinion because most family’s like to return home before 9am. I can imagine the site owners have made a good few quid on the sly with this deposit method. Won’t be returning for this reason. Doesn’t feel good to lose money for nothing. And you can only burn wood supplied by the site. Very greedy approach.

From the manager: We are very disappointed to read this review. We pride ourselves in our customer service and we always try our best to help resolve any issues that may arise. Had you let us know about the issue with the pitch, we would have happily moved you to another pitch. If that was not an option for you then we would have checked our bookings to see if there was anyone on the pitch next to you and if it was free we would have allowed you to set up your awning over the border of the neighboring pitch. We do not have someone on reception 24/7 but in the event that reception is not open, there are three numbers on the door which you can call at any time of day/night and we would be more than happy to help. In response to your comments about the fire wood, it is not uncommon for a camp site to sell their own fire wood. We do this for the safety of all campers as we know there are no nails in them and we feel that we sell our wood for a very reasonable price. In this instance, you did not give us a chance to help you so we feel your comments are extremely unjustified.

Liked: Excellent site with lovely clean facilities. Friendly knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to ensure everything was spot on. An ideal location for some lovely walks (some are right on the doorstep) and also very close to the Mach loop if you like military aircraft (they do fly over the site). Close enough to enough places to restock supplies and a fuel station at the end of the road that sells gas bottles. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch which was reasonably level and everything worked as it should. Good wifi around the site although it will get a little laggy dependent on the number of people using it. Number of free shower cubicles was a little limited during busy times but they were just installing a new shower block while we were there so hopefully this will cut down on any waiting. Very dog friendly. Overall very good value for money and would certainly stay here again.

Liked: The park was very clean, and flat, with good smooth pitches, with some fantastic views, in a really convenient location. Wifi was excellent, as was the EHU
Disliked: Didn't like the toilet/showers, but they are renovating this currently, so would be unfair to judge :-)
