Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked: Showers where excellent, but this the only thing found good on the site. Okay the weather did turn out good, so this made up for all others problems.

Disliked: 1 Price was okay other than charge £5 a night per dog for 4 nights £40 2 £20 charge for an awning, never agree with this as space is rent from the main booking fee. 3 Very dirty entry, through a farm yard. 4 Difficult to find, up some very narrow roads. 5 Site on a slop, took some levelling.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked: A very peaceful and tranquil site, with fantastic views of surrounding countryside, not too far from Monmouth and Abergavenny. Fully serviced pitches and very well kept facilities. Dog friendly which is a must for us, and the owner couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. The on-site country pub is a super added bonus. We’ll certainly be going back!

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked: Everything about this site is incredible. from the time we turned up to the time we left there was nothing that was to much trouble for the host Dale. A very well presented toilet block and pitches with generous sized pitches fully serviced to boot. We will defiantly be going back highly recommended. Even works are ongoing to enhance WIFI to pitched areas.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The shower / toilet huts were very well equipped. Lovely hot shower with plenty of space. Nice views over the countryside, a little exposed to wind, but thats camping 🤠 Good service and communications from Dale.

Disliked: No food available at the pub but there’s a local indian that can deliver apparently.

Liked: Great place, stunning views, lots of places to visit in surrounding areas. Brilliant facilities with shower and toilets and friendly pub. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: WiFi was a bit of an issue if not in the pub but this is something that was in the process of being sorted.

Local attractions

The imposing remains of Raglan Castle (20 minutes’ drive), which was partially destroyed during the English Civil War, hint at the former grandeur of this moated fortress built in the 1430s. Check out the thick walls, the Grand Staircase and the Tudor panel in the visitor centre, then have a picnic on the lawn. Head to the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (half an hour) for epic walks at places like Symonds Yat, where you can get sweeping views of the River Wye. If you’re into watersports, there are numerous outfits renting out paddleboards and canoes, or check out the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo. Hereford (45 minutes) is renowned for its elegant cathedral, home of the Mappa Mundi, a centuries-old map of the world decorated with drawings of strange peoples and mythical creatures. The Museum of Cider has ancient presses and other brewing paraphernalia, or you can visit The Weir Garden, a National Trust property on the River Wye.
