Liked: This is our second visit and it's a great site, very laid back and relaxing, great for families and a beautiful spot, close to all the local attractions. Stayed for 3 nights with our daughter and her family, our granddaughter loves the sheep and wildlife. Around a good site.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: It was close to a few attractions and easy to get too (once you find the turning). The site was very pretty with the lambs running around as it is a working farm. The amenities were basic but always available and they provided fairy liquid for washing up also. You do have to pay extra for showers.
Disliked: It would have been nice to receive arrival instructions as it was a bit awkward to find. The campsite was noisy till late and started again very early so an enforceable "quiet time" would of been appreciated seeing as most people are there to hike and explore. I know this isn't always easy with young children but having them screaming next to your tent at 8.30 am isn't great seeing as it only stopped at 10.30pm the night before.

Liked: We stayed in our campervan for one night. The site is on a working farm which is something we are used to. The facilities are basic but absolutely fine. Everyone staying there were friendly and respectful. Great views and access to Mam Tor but Castleton. We had a great stay and will be returning.
