  • Friendly back to basics four-acre site on the outskirts of Camborne
  • A five-minute drive from the nearest beach and Tehidy Country Park
  • Barbecues permitted on site; food shops, restaurants and pubs nearby
Heading to Cornwall in search of cosy coves, splendid surf and mining trails? Rosewarne Campsite is a welcoming family and dog-friendly site on the outskirts of Camborne, a five-minute drive from the nearest beach. Tick off the local beaches… will it be surfing down at Portreath beach (five minutes’ drive) or the waves at Godrevy beach (15 minutes’ drive) first? If walking and cycling trails are also on your mind, Tehidy Woods and Tehidy Country Park are five minutes’ drive away too, or there are mining trails and mountain biking courses locally. With four acres of space, there’s plenty to do on site, whether you’d rather kick back and have a mini snooze or rustle up some food on the barbecue (bring your own barbecue and a stand or borrow a concrete block from the site to prop it up). Handily, the site is also a five-minute drive from Camborne (a 25-minute walk if you’d rather go for a stroll). Here, there are supermarkets, locally-run shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés… or if you’re tired out from the day’s activities, there are many takeaways that will deliver to the site. While this site will help you reconnect with nature (there are basic facilities only, including a dishwashing area and composting toilet), it’s a five-minute drive from the A30, so you certainly won’t feel cut off from the rest of Cornwall too if you’d like to explore more of the coastline and heritage sites.

Bell tent (five person)

Liked: Simple campsite, snuggly beds, nice decor, friendly hosts, fire pits, great location, close to beaches and towns. Good food recommendation, ease of glamping in Bell tents or bringing your own tent/motor home.

Bell tent (five person)

Liked: great place close to shops and beach. great owners.my kids really liked the bell tent

Disliked: only one shower in the whole campsite. My suggestion is that the shower room should have an additional door as you enter so that you can get dressed after showering because there is little space in the shower cubicle, no privacy

Bell tent (three person)

Liked: A lot ! Very comfortable glamming tents nicely furnished. Very comfortable bed. Excellent gas boiler shower that is better than mine at home !! Very convenient place to stay for visiting area. Zarren and Nicola are great hosts very chilled and very accommodating. Good loos. Good washing up area. Excellent supply of fresh water on tap.Camborne is very close for everything you could need big Tesco near by . Including warriors gas store which stocks everything you could ever possibly need amazing store . The site doesn’t have an electricity supply to the tents or pitches which is good in my eyes as it makes it select you just supply your own which these days isn’t a problem. We will defo be back in 2024 .

Disliked: Nothing

Bell tent (three person)

Liked: Lovely quite campsite with really friendly owners.

Disliked: If I was to moan about anything it would be that there is very little privacy when getting in and out of the shower, this was no issue as it was quite but I could see it being a nuisance.
