Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Lovely peaceful site with lots of trees and a couple of small fishing lakes. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. A warm welcome from the management added to the overall enjoyment. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon at the end of the half-term holiday and the site was fairly empty. Another camper told me that the place had been very busy over the previous few days but there was no remaining evidence of stress in the presentation of the grounds or the facilities.

Electric grass pitch
Liked: Loved our stay, the campsite is beautifully maintained, pitches are large with enough space for the car as well. Facilities (toilet / shower block etc) all maintained to a really high standard. Partner really enjoyed the fishing and it was nice to have everything in close proximity. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked: This is my 4 in a tent review. How were the hosts? The lady I met at reception was very polite so out of 10 I’d definitely give her 1. Was the campsite clean. The campsite was extremely tidy so that’s 10/10 for me. Did I sleep well? I did sleep very well. I can’t complain 10/10 Would I stay here again? It’s a yes from me. I paid in full, £25 for one night. Bargain. So that give a total 100%.
Disliked: The only thing i disliked was the fact that we had to go home.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked: The dog walk area was so lovely! The lakes were beautiful to walk around too. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Tent pitches were a great size and we liked that there were picnic benches. Great value to money!
Disliked: Showers were a bit grassy and muddy during our stay, however it was quite wet weather. Our pitch was quite stoney just below the grass level, so we struggled to peg our tent down.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Beautiful fishing lakes and woodland walk. Well lit at night, not too over bearing but enough to see where you're going. Modern shower, toilet and washing up facilities.
Disliked: Cold showers and no where near enough hooks or places to put things when showering. In the normal showers there is just one hook and in the disabled/family shower there are none. Only two showers per gender in the block so not always available. Bins were overflowing and floors in shower blocks weren't cleaned all weekend, not sure if this was due to it being a bank holiday. When we arrived we were told there was no internet, despite advertising that there would be WiFi. We also made the assumption that you would be able to hire fishing equipment so we were very disappointed to find that you couldn't. A missed opportunity for the site here as we were looking forward to trying our hand at fishing. There was also a very noisy group sat outside being disruptive until midnight with no effort to quieten them down made by the warden.

From the manager: Hello, Thank you for your review and good points, Further to your other comments, We have two facility blocks, Which both overall have five showers, so a total of 10, this is inline with the camping and caravanning regulations. We had a cleaner in every day of the weekend, In our main block we have a cleaning sheet for guests to review of when the last clean was made. We do have WIFI onsite but unfortunately as everyone was advised, BT had a shortage and this was out of our control. We apologise for the noise disturbance of other campers but at this time the wardens are located at the front of the site and you was in the second field, We always welcome guest phone calls to make us aware of a issue like this, then we can resolve it. We have five large industrial bins on site, along with one glass and one recycling bin, This to us seems enough and are emptied weekly. We only wish you had taken the time to talk to us about these issues before writing a review that can not be rectified due to your departure. Regards, Glebe Leisure Team.
