Electric grass tent pitch
Liked: The people were very friendly and welcoming. The site is located close to Alton Towers and the stunning countryside.
Disliked: The kitchen / washing up area is a sink attached to the back of a pub. It is open to the elements so if you are in a tent and its raining your are getting wet. The toilets and showers are via a portable unit which I assume is taken away at the end of the season. There is no freezer for your ice packs despite the description on the website. The campsite is the pubs overflow car park situated next to a main road. They do give you earplugs on arrival though.

Liked: Nice walks to local village. Kids playground was handy.
Disliked: Pitches are very very close to each other, hard to sit out without being really close to other campers. Also very loud camped next to a road.

Liked: good location, just off a main road between Uttoxeter and Stoke. Friendly owner, John was always about to help out or answer questions. clean, site cleaned several times a day. accessibility, being disabled, the shower block had a wet room - a walk-in shower and accessible toilet. can't ask for more than that. pub, central to the site, we had sunday carvery and a few breakfasts. Delicious and good value. We've csmped the length and bredth of the land. New Broom is top of the range.
