Liked: Absolutely beautiful spot by the river . Andy was super helpful and went out of his way to give us loads of information. The views all around are spectacular . A new favourite - will definitely be back x
Disliked: Toilets could be more private if they were a full cubicle and I’d rather not pay extra for a shower . Very small details though . The site is amazing .

Liked: Small site, toilets and showers facilities were clean. 50p for a shower, but you get 10 mins and they were hot!! The warden was incredibly helpful and let us and a friend pitch beside each other, taking away the rope to split into separate pitches. Not much to do for the kids, but they had fun just being outside

Liked: Lovely location nearer river!
Disliked: Not allowed large awnings due to fire hazard??? This is the first time experiencing this! We moved after one day stay to neighbour camping 3 miles down the road where we paid £10 for the awning being large. Grass space not bigger than the one at The Old Post. And had people both sides which was not the case at The Old Post. Cleaning in the shower /toilet area not great. The owner not friendly at all! Seems interested in money only! Made offer of reimbursement after I explained I will post my comments online. We left the whole amount! Hope he will learn to be a bit more friendly and flexible with others! Also, no big areas of walking around at all so my dogs didn’t have a good running area at all! Sorry, German shepherd dog need to run! Also, us need it long walks but not on the road without any pedestrians area! Free WiFi advertised but not available !

Liked: We stayed here a few weeks ago and had such an amazing time we just had to come back! We were booked in by Andy who is really friendly and a wealth of knowledge. He did not steer us wrong the whole trip. Had a lovey pitch by the river. Location of the campsite is amazing, very close to Wast Water, not far from Seascale, lovely! Great pub next to the campsite. Lovely cafe just up the road within walking distance. Situated in the heart of the lakes. The only bad thing was that we eventually had to leave and go home. Loved every second of our stay.
Disliked: Going home.
