Liked: Absolutely brilliant place, so friendly, so clean. The owners were incredible, so helpful and attentive, has a true family feel to the place. Lovely little playground on the center of the field, the kids adored all about this place to the point we had tears on leaving as didn't want to go. The toilets and showers we pristine. With hot running water at ease. Drinking water available, and a little honesty shop with an assortment of essentials and treats. Highly recommend for families!! Can't wait to go again!
Disliked: Nothing loved all! Take a wind breaker, windy mid afternoon to early evening

Liked: Moss Rose Campsite: A Hidden Lancashire Gem for Families and Nature Lovers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Moss Rose Campsite offers a unique and unforgettable camping experience that perfectly blends rustic charm with modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the friendly owners, Kelly and Joe. Their attentiveness and care truly set this campsite apart, as they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We were delighted by the spacious pitches and allowing us to choose our own ideal spot surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of nature. The campsite's well-maintained facilities, including clean toilets, showers, washing-up areas, and readily available drinking water, ensured a comfortable and convenient stay. We particularly appreciated the thoughtfully provided tea and coffee machine, perfect for a warm beverage on chilly mornings or evenings, as well as the lockers with charging ports, which kept our devices powered up throughout our stay. The charming honesty shop, stocked with a delightful assortment of essentials, added a unique touch to our experience. It operates on an honor system, allowing guests to simply take what they need and leave their payment in the provided box, a testament to the trusting atmosphere that permeates the entire campsite. Moss Rose truly shines when it comes to catering to families. The centrally located play area, visible from all pitches, kept our children entertained for hours with its slide, playhouse, and other fun activities. The unexpected addition of a bouncy castle one evening was a delightful surprise that brought smiles to everyone's faces. For those seeking a bit of nature exploration, the charming woodland walk provided a perfect opportunity to stretch our legs and soak in the surrounding beauty. Another highlight of our stay was the friendly sheep who roam a designated area at the side of the campsite. Our kids absolutely adored interacting with these gentle creatures, especially Gloria who quickly became our favourite. For cozy evenings under the stars, we rented a fire pit for a small fee, perfect for roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. And when we needed to restock supplies, the convenience of having several shops just a short 15-minute drive away was greatly appreciated. Our experience at Moss Rose Campsite was truly magical, exceeding our expectations in every way. The combination of warm hospitality, well-thought-out amenities, unique charm, and family-friendly atmosphere made it an unforgettable getaway. We can't wait to return and highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.

Liked: Individual pitches were good so people didn't trip over our guy lines running around, especially at night! Little park in the middle for the kids to play on with ride on toys included. Easily visible from anywhere on the site. Honesty shack was well stocked with variety things that might be needed and owners went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and catered for. Charging lockers were very good value too. Great views and animals in surrounding fields to walk and see. Being able to rent a picnic bench is something we haven't seen at other sites and was a great touch! Made a lot of things much easier during our stay!
Disliked: Road into the campsite is a single lane road with passing places. That was a bit nerve wrecking for me as I am a bit of a nervous driver. Not a long road but worth noting if you're not the biggest fan of narrow country lanes.

Sunflower bell tent
Liked: So pleased we discovered this gem, what a lovely place! We're seasoned campers but treated ourselves to 2 nights in Sunflower Bell Tent and we can't fault it. Lovely decor, thoughtful provision of wood, picnic table, campfire cooking tripod and pit. Love the eco friendly approach and the nice touches like the honesty shack! Toilets clean and tended to, nice space between pitches and very lovely owners who are clearly in their element! You've gained 2 regulars here. Added quirk for me was waking up at 4.45am this morning to a lamb bleeting in distress and I'm glad I popped my head out of the bell tent to check as I saw it with it's head stuck in a fence at the bottom of the field so I climbed the fence and went on a rescue mission haha! Happy ending to a wonderful couple of nights. Thank you so much, have already recommended you to friends. See you again soon! (P.s. Apologies for not having time to clean the BBQ griddle, we felt dreadful leaving it dirty but it was kick-out time, we're very sorry 😬)
Disliked: Please disregard my 1 star for WiFi, can't seem to undo it haha 🤣 Phone signal intermittent but that could vary by provider and not the site's fault.

Liked: Beautiful little campsite in an area of Lancashire's outstanding beauty. The owners are really friendly and definitely go the extra mile. The pegs are massive enough for a large tent, car, table and firepit. We also managed to put up a wind sail there was so much room. This site has a small little play area and an honesty shop if you forget anything. Walking is flat which was great because I have a spine injury and Garstang village is just a stone throw away which has lots of major shops as well as quaint little ones. Over all it was a really great campsite. I took some stunning photos.
Disliked: The only issue (for now) is 1 shower for men and 1 for females. However, the owners are planning on putting more in later in this year.
