From the manager: WIFI is all on you need to know what network you are looking for and also depends how far you are from the box in the centre of the field.

Unpowered grass and earth site
Liked: Stayed at this little site over the bank holiday in our Vw camper. We loved the fact the owner was incredibly friendly and discerning. They purposely don't overbook campers; it's not oversubscribed as they wish to retain an ambient and tranquil setting which is ideal for adults, like us, who yearn for some peace and quiet - we found this such a refreshing change. We didn't use the lakes for course fishing, instead we enjoyed a stroll around the lakes to meet the ducks, geese, heron and other wildlife. The shop is great for local produce and caters for the avid fishers. Excellent value for money. We can't wait to visit again soon and stay longer.
Disliked: There was nothing whatsoever to dislike.

Unpowered grass and earth site
Liked: A lovely campsite situated next to a number of great fishing lakes. I received a warm welcome from the owner on arrival, the tackle shop looked like it had everything you needed for a day's fishing and more. I joined a friend and her family for a couple of days camping and the facilities were always clean with plenty of hot water. The site has an array of animals from hens, turkeys, ducks, cats and sheep and the owner kindly invited us to feed the lambs. They offer fresh eggs on site, which were the tastiest of eggs I've had. I'd definitely stay again.

Liked: had a problem with our tent, so chap who runs the site let us stay in a static van rather than drive the 300 odd miles homes. obviously had to pay for it, but we thought it was very kind and thoughtful. Basic quiet friendly site. equal distance to Sherborne and Dorchester. Less than an hour to Weymouth and Portland Bill. Swanage, Bournemouth and Poole easily accessible by road. Needed a break and got one.
Disliked: nothing really,

Liked: Solid no frills site that was great for a layover on our first night away. Very helpful staff, in spite of the fact that we arrived later than anticipated. Whilst not there for the fishing, the range of supplies in the tackle shop was impressive.
