Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Flat open pitches had lots of space, right by the water, quiet and simple just as we like it

Disliked: It said camp fires allowed but was only told when we arrived that needed to bring our own raised fire pit and they didn’t sell firewood. They would also benefit from having signposts to get in and out (as was different )

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: Lovely peaceful site, plenty of room. Perfectly located for dog walk along the river and easy access to Pangbourne.

Disliked: We thought the actual campsite was not adequately signposted, plenty of signs for Beale park but maybe an extra one for the campsite.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: Access to river for walks or paddling. Not too many rules on pitches. Good location for weekend break. Staff were helpful.

Disliked: Cut grass getting in van, being picky. Portaloos got a bit dirty, but more so the people on holiday could be more respectful.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: The location - close to the river.

Disliked: Very very poor portaloos. Disgusting in fact. Looked like these hadn’t been cleaned or changed for months. Massive field with only 6 toilets. Seriously - you need to sort this out as they stunk !
