Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Lovely location basically a field opposite the public car park and toilets. Chemical disposal, portaloo, rubbish facilities and drinking water tap provided.

Disliked: Not dialikes but just some things t to be aware of, it is a field and we had a lot of rain and nearly got stuck trying to tow the van out. The entry and exit on to main roads is via small country roads and on a bank Holiday we had quite a lot of traffic we had to squeeze past! There was no obvious grey water drain. There is no tv signal and pour phone signal on site.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Really close to Thors Cave, lovely to wake up in the morning next to the horses and cows

Disliked: Some noise overnight in general. Would be very muddy if it rains.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Lovely site, exactly as described. Very simple arrival process. Provision of portaloo

Disliked: Nothing in particular, the description was accurate. Sloping site which caused some people access difficulties in wet weather. (not me though)

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Lovely large level pitches. There are only 12 with lots of space between each other. Lovely view in every direction. Rubbish, waste water and fresh water tap all on concrete areas which were neat and tidy. There was also an immaculately kept portaloo. We didn’t see the owners but we selected our own pitch and then phoned them to say we have arrived and the lady was very friendly. Near a great pub but book first as we did, as they were turning people away. Great location for walkers and pretty village. We will return.

Disliked: Nothing
