Liked: Lots of families with young children, staff very friendly, easy to find with good directions in email, not too pricey, lovely walking area near the lake.
Disliked: Cleaners not letting us use the toilet around 8.30am as they were cleaning, maybe this could be done earlier before people start getting up.

Liked: Good sized pitches. 9:30pm curfew enforced by security. Security visible on site. Plenty of walks nearby. Clean site - very little litter. Nice park area.
Disliked: Difficult to find pitch (reception said that there should have been a map attached to the email, but several people hadn’t had one). Shower block was tired - showers needed one and on them at all times to get water! Shop was card only with very few essentials available. No recycling facilities.

Disliked: Site, the toilets were broken was told they would be repaired Tuesday as Bank hol Monday. But weren’t then on older reviews had been broken ages. So only toilets open were too busy you for amount of people on site never cleaned. The shop was hardly ever open, when it was the lady was missable. Would never return or recommend

Liked: Location is good. Easy access to Nottingham and Pierre point country park.
Disliked: I understand they can’t help the weather but they could at least look to aerate the field, lots of standing water from an average amount of rain the fell. Toilet block on overflow field not in use all week. We were told bank holiday Monday it would be fixed tomorrow (Tuesday), if nobody could come out today with it being bank holiday. This never happened and remained shut all week! Full site then using the only other toilet and shower blocked was obviously going to result in increased foot flow, lack of facilities and dirtier conditions. No additional measures were observed to have been put in place to adjust for this. The toilets and showers were filthy all week with the bins never emptied, evidenced by the same apparent rubbish in them daily. There was also the same dirt marks on the wall and toilet tissue strewn across the floor all week so if anybody has apparently cleaned management should be asking some serious questions. Some of the lights in the showers also didn’t even work and the press on the shower if it even did work lasted just seconds on some of them. I am also aware that in the female toilet block they all blocked up which left them all completely out of use for a period of time. All of the increased foot flow, lack of cleaning and blocked toilets resulted in a horrid pungent smell coming from the toilets and showers and the only thing I was glad about being pitched so far away from them. I would not have liked to have been pitched immediately next to them as some people were, being subjected to the smell and meaning people were constantly walk inches away from peoples tents to access the facilities. Washing up facilities although present did not produce water warm enough to effectively clean pots and pans and remove dirt and grease. The shop, that advertises opening times on a plaque outside, was hardly ever opened. It remaind shut all day on some days too, I imagine this was to avoid the numerous complaints I can only expect they would have received by the sheer lack of facilities or disregard to cleanliness. It was quite apparent from our stay that actually the management dont particularly care about your stay or ensuring a quality customer experience and instead just care about making taking your money with as little expenditure as possible. Granted this is not the most expensive site we have stayed at but neither is it one of the cheapest. I can however say, this is quite possibly the worst we have stayed at for all of the above reasons. There appears to be no pride for your site or anybody taking ownership or responsibility which is a shame due to its endless possibilities and potential as well as the fantastic location for both the city centre and the watersport activities.

Disliked: 2/3 sets of toilets and showers closed so the whole site was using one block meaning a 5 min walk to toilets from pitch The toilets that were open were dirty Harding any cleaning lots of toilets blocked for multiple days. Showers should have a mop and buckets in so you can clean and dry after use for the next person. Shop was said to be open 9:30-5:30 everyday of our 5 day week (half term site was busy) the shop was shut early. When you did find a member of staff which was very difficult you were meet with unfriendly rude staff who didn’t seem to want to know what you had to say.

Disliked: Everything about this site is a failure . From the minute we got there we noticed the toilets we had asked to be near were actually out of order no water to have a shower or anywhere to wash pots up. According to others on the field they thought they had been closed for a while but nobody informed us of this before we arrived. We quickly realised that we'd have to walk quite a way for the toilet or a shower or to wash any pots. I emailed straight away to ask if we could move closer as I am disabled but got ignored. More emails and phone called followed with no reply. On Tues we had a day of heavy rain and our motorhome got stuck in the field and three kind men pushed us out which we were very grateful for. We finally got moved in the evening of our final night after a lot of bother. I even had a row with a man after being ignored because down the phone he was just being obtuse and arrogant with me and lying about non existent phone calls. I phoned them initially because this man was confronting my daughter who is only 12 and talking to her in a confrontational manner. The showers and toilets are very dirty with mud all over the floor with urine flowing out the back of one toilet block . The customer service is just absolutely appalling you couldn't ask in the shop or reception about any prob because it was shut for 90% of the time we were there. Defo wouldn't recommend unless your a tramp yourself.
