Liked: We can't think of anything to complain about. The pitch was the perfect location and exactly how it looked on photos. The farm shop had everything you would've needed as a young couple coming away for a few nights and the staff were excellent. For our first trip away in our tent we couldn't have wished for a better site. 10/10.

Disliked: Turned up to. Very very muddy pitch too muddy to get on. Had to be pushed out my By fellow campers and we're unable to stay on site at all. Couldn't find anyone on site who ran / worked there. Had to find somewhere else to stay

From the manager: Thank you for your review - apologies for the noisy group, as stated on the last review we limit the party numbers booking but they can still all meet on separate bookings - we do have ground rules and as already stated I am a phone call away to sort out if needs be, as a rule we have a well behaved, respectful campsite

Liked: Polite lady on shop reception. Location/view.

Disliked: Noise, noise, noise. Bank holiday weekend so I guess it was busier than usual but in my opinion, just too many groups of people there just to get pi**ed up, play music till late and generally not give a sh*t about others on the site. Usually campsites operate a rule of keep noise to a minimum after a certain time but not here unfortunately. Toilets/facilities are bare bones basic too.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, comments noted - we do operate a quiet time with it being a family campsite, we state quiet time after 11pm, I'm sorry you experienced a noisy group, we have a limit on people booking in one group but it doesn't stop them making multiple bookings and meeting up, my phone is always on in case of any disturbance for me & my husband to come and sort & we would have done if notified - we do only state on our site info that we are a back to basics campsite which you have stated which also reflects on the prices given - our facilities are basic, but clean

Liked: Good location. Nice little farm shop on site with friendly staff. A nice pond to look at and if anyone is in to fishing.

Disliked: Poor quality toilets that didn’t flush and often backed up with old waste. Can’t show unless willing to pay £2.50 per person per shower: You can tell it is cheap per night as the clientele were of a lower standard with no morales or care for other guests. Very boggy pitches. Grass needed cutting. Couldn’t get cars on to grass and therefore packing and unpacking was a much longer and strenuous task.

Liked: Absolute lovely site with fishing pools farm shop Donkeys. Goats etc. The owner was absolutely lovely will definitely be going back there again . Value for money

Disliked: Weather made part of the fields waterlogged but this happens to all sites , but the true campers loved it

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, much appreciated - Thank you for understanding with the weather, over the weekend wasn't too bad but the Wednesday before we had a month's worth of rain in 24hrs which obviously tipped the scales so to speak

Liked: Spectacular views, nothing too much trouble for the hosts.

Disliked: Pitch up stated we had to buy logs and fire fuel on site, logs a little damp and hard to burn. Saw lots of people bringing their own logs with them
