Liked: Willow caravan park is very well situated on a bus route 15 minutes from the center of York with the bus stopping right at the end of the drive. The site itself was very clean Airey and well-maintained. The shower block was immaculately, clean and well presented. The breakfast we had in the on site restaurant and play area was second to none . We loved our two days there and will do again thank you
Disliked: The only thing I can say was a little annoying Was the water pressure in the shower. And that is me really racking my brains to find something bad about this site .

Liked: Everything, large bays gravel and generous grass area, clean wet rooms and toilets. Onside gift shop and excellent cafe. Staff are really friendly. Bus stop just outside the main campsite entrance, we popped into York for the day. Lots of fresh water points. Nice and peaceful. Nice walk to the village pubs, about 30 to 40 mins walk, wifi as well !!

Liked: This is our third visit to Willow Park. We love the clean pitches and friendly atmosphere. There is a very convenient area for dog walking. The wonderful Willow Cafe is a special place on site.
Disliked: As there is no reception it would be helpful to be informed by text or email the number of the pitch we should use.

From the manager: Hi James, our staff are available 24/7 - you just have to call or text us - we may not have a reception, but we are usually somewhere on site and always at the end of the phone. We are aware of a problem at pitch 1, and will work on it as soon as we can - the weather has not been conducive to sorting the problem as we need it to dry up to do that.

Liked: Showers were spotless, had a problem with the electric in the shower block on the first night but these things happen. Pitches were nice and level and electric and water easily accessible. It's not too far from a Park & Ride to get into York and there's a bus at the edge of the campsite if you don't mind being restricted by bus times.
Disliked: Didn't like not being allocated a pitch. We were in a VW T4 that we used for our trips round and about York and had a different pitch each of the 3 nights we stayed. Not a problem if you go with a caravan. The path to the nearby villages was a massive patch of mud (it has rained for ever) and the site is on a main road so you can't walk into York.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Clean facilities, quiet and close to facilities
Disliked: The ground was very wet and when we arrived they wasn't really sure where to put us, as they wasn't expecting any tents. I know the weather cannot be helped, however it was felt that we should have been told that the ground was not really suitable and ultimately this resulted in everyone in tents having to leave early. Lack of communication really, but a lovely sitr
