  • Peaceful pitches on a working farm just outside Stalmine
  • A 20-minute drive from Blackpool and half an hour from Lancaster
  • Dogs welcome on site; local pub 10 minutes' walk away
It’s all about peaceful times at Pointer Farm Campsite, a spacious site on a working farm in the Lancashire countryside just outside the village of Stalmine. This is a place to pitch up (with dog in tow if you’ve got one) for great rural rambles followed by evenings spent sipping real ale or dining on tasty meals at a country pub. It’ll take you 10 minutes or so to wander down to the local hostelry, but if you don’t fancy venturing that far you’re welcome to light up a barbecue for open-air dinners on site instead. Being out in a proper rural location means plenty of space and quiet around this site – but this site isn’t quite as remote as its surroundings might suggest. A 15-minute drive gets you from the farm to Poulton-le-Fylde and it’s only a little further to the bright lights of Blackpool (about a 20-minute drive in total). The bus stop in the village means there’s also the option to get down to the coast using public transport if you’d rather leave the car behind. Back at the farm, facilities are simple but well kept: the smart modern facilities block has unisex toilets and showers along with a washing-up area, and there’s also free wifi so you can keep in contact with the wider world.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Location close to Fleetwood close enough to Blackpool and also beach at knott end. Facilities are there not as modern as some sites we have been to. Field was ok if your looking at reviews on here you will understand there isn’t many rocks so pegs go into the ground easily! In the country side with nature as you go camping for. WiFi was really good and worked well great extra on the site. Electric is 16amp which is good unlike some sites and water facilities right near pitch.

Disliked: The facilities was a little walk away and when you leave the field there is stones like hard standing pitches not there isn’t many stones so is a bit of a trip hazard. At night time camping we like a quite dark place however there was a huge flood light… on the field lighting it up all night. Didn’t see the owners once got a text the morning of saying what pitch number we was on so cannot really comment on the customer service.

Liked: Very quiet pitch ( could be because we were the only ones there). Think the storms may have added to how quiet it was but we had a wonderful time. Walks mud peace relaxation rain wind and sunshine. We had it all . Would definitely return. Managed to get an hour sat in the sun . Easy to find. Facilities clean and had everything we needed. Nice walks and pub and shop about 15 min walk. Pub isn't the cheapest though in my opinion bit a nice Pitstop after a walk. Great wifi too which was a bonus as the weather was awful so retreated to our van of an evening.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike at all. Hassle free stay .
