The Meadow primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Very relaxed campsite. Open fires in raised pits were allowed which is always a huge plus for the evenings. Lots of space for the kids to run around and not over booked.
Disliked: There were a few toilet issues - doors getting stuck and people locked in, blockages etc, but all were dealt with quickly. Would have been nice to have had better access to running water at toilets and washing up area.

The Meadow primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Great site if you’re looking for a back to basics experience. Lovely field (The Meadow) with horses in the next one, red kites flying over every morning. Plenty of space, toilets if you need them and in the warm weather a decent Joolca shower that does the trick. No Wi-Fi but don’t care about that and was aware when booked, only gave one star as there isn’t an option to say there isn’t Wi-Fi. We had a great time and if we are in that neck of the woods again would definitely stay again.
Disliked: Only had two nights there as we had to go back to work on Monday 😔

The Meadow primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: We loved that it wasn't overly booked (I know they deliberately try to keep numbers down on purpose). It was so nice and spacious with tents far apart from one another. It was a really peaceful site and perfect for us to have a couple of days of relaxation and family time in a beautiful natural setting. There were lots of woods to wander around in too. We loved that we were able to have a bbq and a camp fire (we hired a fire pit from Jason (the site manager) and also brought fire wood too. Communication from Jason was amazing, texting site location and information prior to our arrival. He also came and welcomed us and was such a nice man! We are already planning another short stay (the site is also quite local to us).

The Meadow primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: The clearing was beautiful and quiet. Very picturesque. Loved having a picnic bench too. Lots of wildlife including some very friendly rats. This is a leave no trace site and it seems everyone sticks to the rules.
Disliked: Only one of the eco toilets was ever open and this had a broken lock, So very difficult to use with no way to hold the door shut. Not sure why the other was kept locked. Some previous guests had thrown the toilet rolls into the toilet and by Sunday there was no toilet roll left. One of the evenings noise continued quite loudly from the other field well past 10pm, was quiet the rest of the days.

The Clearing primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked: The fact we could have a fire. woodland around, could hear owls, Open to sky shower, relaxed. Would like to be in the original field that we booked next time although the one we were is was fine it was a long walk to the shower and to carry the washing up to the sink so would go back but would like the smaller field next time.
Disliked: That we didn't get ti be in the field we had booked. Toilet and washing up far away if in big field. Also it was very rainy (no falt of campsite) Maybe a rough shelter could be built in the middle of the field.

Liked: Nice quiet site, with plenty of open space, great not to be looking onto another pitch. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The toilets were clean and within easy reach of our pitch. Shame it rained, but we will be back.
