Liked: Nice lady in reception, put us on better pitch as was quiet this weekend! The shower at ygg her e end was huge and nice, the others were a bit small! Could do with a mop, as a lot of grass gets carried in ! Car boot both days which was good, weather was fab so used the river with our kayak, made it to the pub, quite a long way along the river, but fun day !
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Lovely area. Nice pitch with electric and water hook up. Good waste disposal area. Not far from toilets and bins. Very nice lady on reception very helpful and full of local knowledge.
Disliked: Toilets and shower block. well men’s anyway was slightly on the dirty side. Worse time was on leaving day (bank holiday Monday).

Liked: Large fields with loads of walking space especially as we had our dog with us. Very pleasant walk through the perimeter trees leading to the river with locks and a weir. Staff are very pleasant and polite and the facilities are clean. Pub is only a small walk away as is a cafe which can be found by walking along the river path.
Disliked: We took our 3 year old granddaughter who was looking forward to the farm animals but this had been shut and by the looks of it, never to open again ( very disappointing as we was not told it had closed when we booked) also the adventure climbing area is closed and run down. In all so much could be done to improve this site.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and that you enjoyed yourselves. The Hop farm family park has been closed since the beginning of 2023 and this is advertised as closed on Pitchup when you make a booking and also on the farms website. The adventure climbing area has been closed for several years and their website page gives you alternative venues with one of them being just a few miles away. We hope to see you again soon.

Liked: Amazing amenities. Toilets and showers were spotless Lovely surroundings, river, lock and a lovely cafe. The ground was easy to put in the pegs and nice and flat.
Disliked: One minor whinge was it looked like the grass had its first cut of the year so the was big clumps of damp grass that stick to everything. My car looked like the inside of a hay barn when we left lol.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and that you enjoyed yourselves. The grass has been cut a few times this year and requires regular cutting. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Liked: Space, access to countryside, friendliness of staff
Disliked: Main toilet block- would have benefited from being serviced across the weekend and some shelves/additional hooks in shower cubicles would be helpful
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: I am sorry that you will not visit again due to the lack of shelving and hooks in the showers. If we were to put shelves in the showers this would cause a hindrance in getting dried and dressed, we have a hook on the inside and outside of the shower cubicle doors to hand a towel and clothing.

Liked: Lovely outlook, close to the river. The pitch we had also had a water tap. Toilets on the whole were clean, just a shame the grass cuttings are not collected as these are walked through the toilet/shower blocks. Very family orientated and can be noisy but must admit by 11.00pm it was quiet.
Disliked: Grass cuttings just left.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We do not collect the grass cuttings as it is better for the ground not to remove them. Environmentally grass should not be cut this time of year due to bees using the daisies and buttercups for pollination, however if the grass gets too long on the campsite it hinders camping and also makes the grounds look untidy. We look forward to welcoming you again.
