Primitive grass tent campsite (small, two person)
Liked: Everything!! Such a lovely campsite, full of wildlife including horses, cats and ducks to name a few. Great spot for a big group, plenty of space between each pitch. The owner is so lovely, she is around doing daily tasks at the campsite and gardens and would always say hello or help with any questions. The facilities are great, loads of compost loos and 2 showers, I didn’t have to wait around to use either whilst staying .Couldn’t recommend more
Disliked: Nothing

Primitive grass tent campsite (small, two person)
Liked: Was a missed bunch of mature couples, to young children. 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed the campsite. Pleasant walk to bude town and a lovely little canal and river just down the road. We have music and a roaring. I hate to use this word but it’s a basic campsite, giving you just what you need. Keep this in mind for “glampers”.

Liked: The views were nice and other families staying friendly
Disliked: This campsite is not as advertised so please read recent reviews than believe the information. Whilst this is an eco site it is very run down and dirty, toilets are wooden buckets with loo seat and use sawdust to cover however at times all were full. The showers and sinks were dirty and had not been cleaned for the whole 4 nights we stayed. The area to wash cutlery and cooking items has no access to hot water. The cafe is no longer running and the veggie patch is no longer that unless you want nettle tea! There are horses and cats and a llama but no tortoise or chickens. You cannot fly kites etc as they are low power lines. The walk into town takes 30 minutes or so along canal route, no cycles allowed along there.

Liked: very peaceful and quiet. not far from the coast and canal walks. very relax on checking in and out time. just give them a ring!
Disliked: not as many animals as expected. The shower can be a bit warmer but it's good enough for me!

Liked: Campsite was great! Compost toilets were kept clean, and for a basic site the showers and toilet block was great. Lovely to be in nature and the location is amazing for South West Coast Path access. The site owner is so friendly and helpful too! Thank you
Disliked: It wasn't an issue for us but the site is quite slanted, so for motorhomes or people who like to sleep fully flat this could be a slight issue. In our camper we could level up from -9 to -5 degrees with some low chocks. This was at the top part of the fields. This did not detract away from our stay, but something to bear in mind!

Liked: We love the atmosphere of the campsite and the setting, we have been to this campsite multiple times now and it is the one we always return to when we are down in Cornwall! We are always so warmly welcomed and and questions or queries we have are always answered, id highly recommend this campsite for anyone… it is well kept and facilities promptly cleaned and checked on daily. An excellent location only a short walk away from budes town with lots of walks and beaches nearby with plenty of surf also.

Primitive grass tent campsite (small, two person)
Liked: Lovely position, eco friendly with clean facilities. Nicely off-grid. A bit of a walk fromBude but if you go via the canal tow path from the town, it’s a nice peaceful route. Phone charging points a useful bonus.
Disliked: Nice quiet location, somewhat spoilt by really noisy people (surfers I think) arriving late and feeling free to sit around drinking and treating the place as their own, even when asked to keep it down. A ‘no noise after some hour’ rule might help. This is the only reason I wouldn’t stay again.

From the manager: I am sorry to hear of your less than enjoyable experience. There IS a "no noise" after 10.30/11pm policy & if I had been informed of any non compliance to this, I would have requested that the noise was greatly reduced or ceased all together.
