Something special about a stay with a sea view, isn’t there? And it’s a spectacular sea view indeed that you’ll get when bedding down at Seaview Tipis – this glamping site sits up on a clifftop looking out over gorgeous Bedruthan Steps on the north Cornwall coast, about 25 minutes’ drive from Wadebridge. The views here are stunning by day or by night, when you’ll want to turn attention away from the Atlantic Ocean views ahead and instead gaze up into the dark skies – the lack of light pollution around here makes this a great spot for stargazing and moon bathing. And the tipis themselves are rather lovely too: each one is fully furnished with comfy beds, side tables and rugs to make things cosy underfoot, and there’s a firepit outside each tent (which you can use for alfresco cooking as well as just warming your hands of an evening). It’s an eco-friendly off-grid site so there’s no electricity in the tipis but you’ll be provided with lanterns and torches to help you find your way in the dark (including to the showers, compost toilets and drinking water supply a short walk away). As you’ll see from the pics, those sea views are spectacular indeed… but so is much of the surrounding area, so it’s certainly worth getting out to explore as much as you can around here. The South West Coast Path runs just past the site, and you can stroll over to Park Head or Mawgan Porth and Porthcothan beaches in half an hour or less.
