Disliked: The ground was a bit bogie…just a good to know not a dislike as such….so you bring appropriate footwear as we didn’t!!

Liked: Great little site, loos clean and showers hot. It was very quiet when we stayed but we had warm welcome. Nice walk along the stream to an excellent local pub with nice food. Left before the on-site cafe opened in the morning but it looked nice.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Litton Lakes is a beautiful small family, and dog, friendly site. The grassed areas are kept cut and the pathways over the fields to the pub and surrounding areas are all cut making it easy to see exactly where you can/need to walk. No need to walk on any lanes or roads. Very safe. The pitches are good size and you didn’t feel on top of each other. There was a ‘play’ area which alongside the campsite, so if you wanted to play ball games, you could use this space if campsite was full. There is a separate dog walking area too. The lake and cafe were fantastic. Food was delicious and the view over the lake, stunning. In the evening we hired a fire pit and bought logs. Clear starry sky, no light pollution, it was amazing. Toilet and showers were clean, with a small washing up area and bins for recycling and waste. Chemical disposal area was clean and two fresh water taps. It was lovely to stay at a well kept, clean and friendly site which was quiet and relaxing both day time and evening. I will definitely be back. Soon.
Disliked: The locks on the toilet and shower would be better if just made simple hook style, the current ones get ‘stuck’ occasionally.
