  • Spacious off-grid dog-friendly site in Somerset
  • Half an hour's drive from Taunton; 40 minutes to the Jurassic Coast
  • Close to the A303; country pub within walking distance
Winsmoor Hill Campsite is set on a working farm on the edge of the village of Stocklinch, with spacious green meadows for pitching up in and extensive views over the pretty plains of Somerset. This pop-up site welcomes well-behaved dogs and barbecues and has basic amenities like drinking water and basic toilets. The surrounding Somerset Levels area is very easy to access, as Winsmoor Hill Campsite is a short drive from the A303 and close to lots of meandering footpaths – a slower way of exploring, of course, but the views are worth it. Feeling in the need of some rural rejuvenation? Have a stroll along the maze of footpaths around the place. For local amenities, look to the handy farm shop a mile and a half away in Barrington, or take yourself off for a treat of a meal at the award-winning Barrington Boar. Feeling like a drink while you spend time at the latter? No problem, as the pub is easily accessible from base via a footpath – just follow your nose when you start to get close…
