Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Great place to stay, very peaceful and idyllic. Just a few minutes walk to the coastal path and a 30 minute walk down hill into New Quay itself. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful location with clean facilities. Only two ladies’ toilets and two showers, but plenty enough for when we were there and the showers are so roomy. Great secure dog park next to the children’s’ playground where you can let them off the lead. Was our first visit but won’t be our last! Not sure I’d enjoy it when busy, but that would be the same wherever I went.

Liked: Nice open field, plenty of space on the pitches. Friendly welcome on arrival, decent clean and tidy facilities. Play area for my little boy to enjoy up the top of the site too. Sea view to watch the sun set over.
Disliked: My only disappointment was needing a £1 coin to have a shower, I understand that they say due to the increase in energy bills this helps offset that, and helps reduce queuing times, but I didn’t have any change in the van, so couldn’t have a shower on my night of arrival.

Liked: A quiet, well-kept camp. clean toilets, unfortunately paid showers, fortunately decent prices. It's quite far from being connected to electricity, which means you need a fairly long power cable. Friendly service. Unfortunately, the check-in time was quite late and the check-out time was too early. But apart from that, I recommend it.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do make a charge of between 20p and £1 for the showers. We have implemented this for a few reasons really. The first, of course, to offset some of the cost to us in view of the ever increasing costs of energy. Having said this, we are trying our best to maintain our hook up prices stable. Also is to limit the time people spend in the shower, which in some cases (prior to charging being introduced) could be up to an hour! This inevitably led to frustration of other guests. We also found guests washing dogs, wetsuits and even pots and pans in them! We have one central electric hook up station per 4 pitches. This does mean that some pitches are further away from the point than others. We carry extra long leads for any guest that might need them that may be borrowed at no charge. Thanks again for your review and hope to see you again when you would be most welcomed.
