Liked: First time for us to stay here and we were not dissapointed. So peaceful and well kept. The owners were welcoming and friendly. Lovely old chapel right on the grounds and lovely walks through countryside too. The river is close by nice to hear the sound of water. Clean showers, immaculate site. We will definitely be back.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Liked: The facilities were good.
Disliked: Absolutely no communication from the owner of the land. Got there and he directed us on to our pitch, told him I was expecting my parents in a motorhome which I'd booked on pitchup. He then went on to ask how big the motorhome was but when you book on pitchup it asks you the size of the caravan/motorhome.. My parents then arrived and as the owner had already told me we're they were going I didn't think they needed to go to reception, so told them to come straight to the site we was staying.. cut a long story short the motorhome got grounded in the mud due to it being so wet, the owner comes over with absolute attitude towards us all about the fact they have got stuck.. He finally got over that and exceeded to help us out then to level the motorhome etc, which came to us leaving on outast day and the owner came over layed wood down to get the motorhome out only on the one side.. No communication to any of us that he wants to put anything on the other side of the van so we proceeded to move the van.. Which got stuck again in the mud, the owner then said to my father watch you don't put your back out picking up those bits of wood (being sarcastic) which my father is due to have 2 knee replacements!! How rude!! I can honestly say I will NEVER BE VISITING THE SITE AGAIN!! I have never been made to feel this way on a site I my life.. we are more than happy to help anyone, but there we had nothing but rudeness from the owner.. Like I explained to him a little bit of communication would have been great we all would have knew where we stood and what was happening next..

From the manager: Now for the other side of the saga. After the wettest Spring in memory we are blessed by meeting a family like yours! Sadly your father steamed straight onto the park after 7pm,avoiding reception on your say so and proceeded on your instructions to drive a 3.5ton front wheel drive Fiat motorhome on to grass you already knew to be soft and surprise he sank. Unlike the other campervans and motorhomes whose wheels were safe on boards. Had your father visited reception he would have been aware further boards and grids were ready for his arrival. Saturday morning we jacked and supported the front on boards so his van was level and comfortable and simply asked he advise reception when he was ready to leave so we could 'board' him off promptly and safely. However you decide you knew best and surprise surprise tried without boarding the ground (even though they were there ready to use) and were again stuck!. Twenty minutes of sensible assistance and the motorhome was off. Now to the best part of the review 'I will NEVER BE VISITING THE SITE AGAIN!!' all we can say is 'Hip Hip Hooray' for oursakes and the rest of the people who enjoy Disserth as you must be the neighbours from h..... You actively encouraged your children to antagonise a couple who politely asked for the music to be turned down, the park also had to ask for the music to be lowered at 9pm, though it was extremely hard to communicate with your husband as he could hardly stand, let alone string two words together, one positive he was keeping the lager brewing industry in business. Finally please stick to your promise and stay away. On a good note anyone else thinking of visiting Disserth will know they are going to avoid one of those families we all dread because you will be somewhere else!
Highly recommended.

Liked: Beautiful hidden away spot. Very quiet. Helpful staff. Nice welcome. Great facilities. Probably best shower I’ve had on a camp site, powerful hot shower with no time restraint. I actually had some noisy neighbours, but can’t blame campsite for that. It happens—fortunately rarely. I will be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Liked: Mike & Ann we’re really friendly & helpful, giving lots of information on arrival & showing you to your pitch, the site is mainly level at the side of a river with lovely mown grass & tidy hedges, we even had horses looking over the hedge at us, it is truly a relaxing site Don’t let one review put you off coming here, we were there when the reviewer was there & all I can say is, you were on holiday & planning on enjoying yourself, well so was everyone else but everyone else didn’t disrupt the whole campsite with loud music, another camper asked you to turn it down which you didn’t so Mike came to ask you to turn it down which you did then as soon as he went you turned it back up again, all I can say is you’re very selfish & because of this you have put on a bad review, we saw the jack & blocks & boards waiting to assist you of the grass yet you chose to go it alone & chew everything up, hardly surprising they don’t want you there again I would definitely recommend this site & will be returning
Disliked: Nothing to dislike ( except the ignorant neighbours )

From the manager: Enjoy your onward travels and hopefully you will not encounter any further annoying caravanners who have no consideration for others sharing the site. The comments above refer to the second one below.

Liked: This is a beautiful site set by a river and a 12th century church. No main roads nearby so very peaceful. Great toilet and shower facilities. We stayed on a fully serviced hard pitch which was very well maintained. It was so very peaceful and quiet with the sound of the river and birds almost deafening. Mike and his wife keep the site facilities very clean and tidy and are very approachable people. Will return to this site again as it’s one of the best we have stayed on. 10 out of 10👍🏻

Liked: A perfect bucolic site with the babbling Ithon in the background. Everything was very neat and tidy, the pitches are of an excellent size and coped well with the deluge of rain. Lovely church literally next door with its original box pews from the 1600's. The owners are lovely, full of information and friendly in the bargain. Thanks for a relaxing stay
