  • Low-impact site in Pembrokeshire alongside the Newport estuary
  • A five-minute drive from the mountain, beach and coastal path
  • Pubs, restaurants and cafés a short walk away; riverside path on site
Mountain ascents, rockpools, the clifftop coastal path and a beachside golf course… alongside the Newport estuary in Pembrokeshire, these are all within five minutes’ drive of Carningli Campsite. Whatever you have your mind set on – whether it’s an active holiday or some simple chilling out somewhere by the coast - you’ll be well-set from here. Of course, splendid views are all part and parcel of this site. If you walk to the top, there will be views over Carnigli Mountain and the estuary, while the bottom of the site has a woodland, stream and walking path running alongside the estuary to really get back to nature. Nature runs pretty wild here and the site is low impact to keep it this way, so there are simple facilities that take care of the basics, including on-site parking, a composting toilet, portable toilet and water containers for washing up. And to be friendly to the environment, the shower is powered by solar and there’s a rubbish collection point. Newport village has an assortment of pubs, restaurants and cafés, under 10 minutes’ walk away from the site, so that you can keep on top of any surprise bouts of hunger. There’s a village shop, butchers, newsagents and health food shop here, too, so that you may stock up on snacks for on the go.

Top field primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: What a beautiful campsite. Fantastic location, in walking distance to the beautiful beach, pubs and top class restaurants. Such a peaceful spot, with stunning views. The sunsets and sunrises were just spectacular! I loved hearing the Canadian geese chattering away in the evening! Oh and the freshwater shower was amazing during this heatwave!! We will definitely be back!
