Liked: Absolutely fantastic set up. Stayed in one of the pods with my friend and we had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Owner was fantastic - provided extra things we had forgotten and was always on hand if we needed anything. Fire pit was a nice touch which you can purchase on site. Facilities were clean and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay. Quiet and stunning views also over the fields. Would definitely come again!

Liked: View is great and site is a good size. Plenty of room to spread out without getting in anyone's way. Being able to have a fire was also a bonus. Alan, the owner, was always there if needed.
Disliked: The site is remote, right in the middle of Wigton and Penrith.

Liked: Stayed 2 nights, such a beautiful area to stay in, plenty of walks, cute little pub down the road called The Old Crown. The campsite itself was lovely, full of flowers and plenty of space for tent and car. Alan the owner was very friendly and helpful. Showers and toilet were great as well with lovely hot water, drink station and place to wash all your things and area for rubbish and recycling. Definitely would come back again!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Myself, my partner and our 8 week old belgium malinois puppy had a fantastic stay on this campsite. Loads of space and freedom for our puppy to run around. Owner was very approachable, friendly and helpful (he helped us out massively on more than one occasion and his dog is awsome and friendly too.) All facilities needed ie showers, toilets, hot water was spot on. Nothing more needed on a campsite when camping (apart from wellies when it's been raining so much so you don't get bogged down 😂😂 but it all adds to the adventure and memories.) Located in a beautiful spot. Would highly recommend. We will be back.
Disliked: None what so ever.
