Birchell’s summer house microlodge
Liked: Awesome hosts, perfect location for finding dipping pools. Working farm with all the morning sounds, lots of farm animals and friendly dogs. Great to wake up to stunning views and amazing memories made! We will be back to explore more of this beautiful landscape and tick off another Wainright! The family could not do enough to help.
Disliked: Nothing, once you get over the basic ness , no electricity (we stayed in the little garden house) and a few little critters - it just got better! Cold shower 1.00 for 5 mins but that’s what was needed after a great sun shiny day. Need to take your own bottom sheet and bedding then it’s snug. Cannot moan at all the owners do everything to help - wonderful family.

Liked: Location was great for Helvellyn, Ravencragg and plenty of other walks. Really peaceful and quiet site with fab views. Cafe round the corner with great cakes and drinks. Pub round down the road too. Basic site but that added to its charm.
Disliked: Donkey with the loudest eee awww woke up one morning 😂 No phone signal or wi-if buy we knew this beforehand and made sure we brought a book and downloaded some films. Also cafe had WiFi.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked: Beautiful location in Thirlmere with a bus stop right outside so perfect if you want to avoid getting stuck in the holiday traffic. Louise was super helpful and friendly - we loved the little on-site farm shop (we had fresh eggs every day!) We stayed in our campervan for its maiden voyage and had great views from our pitch despite the fact it rained almost everyday. I would recommend Stybeck Farm to all my friends and family as it is really reasonably priced for the spot its in. We loved the fact it was on a working farm. Great experience!
Disliked: nothing!
