Me gustó: Beautiful views. Short walk to the Kings Head. Staying on a working farm where you can buy eggs, milk and bread for breakfast. We’re made to feel very welcome.

No me gustó: One of the toilets could do with a better lock!

Me gustó: The host was lovely, really friendly and welcoming. Facilities were spot on with power, water and toilets. The site had ample space and was quiet enough that we could have our own space. We loved the noises on the working farm.

No me gustó: Slight inconvenience of the showers being operated by £1 coins only but once sourced was no trouble.

Me gustó: The hut was perfect and everything we needed!! We were useless at lighting the fire but next time we’ll bring a fire log or something. It’s the perfect space, showers and toilets exceptional. The host was amazing, and welcomed us to her home.

No me gustó: The black little dog bit my foot when I first got there. I had walking boots on so only had a couple of scratches, but I do dread to think if you had crocs on. The host was extremely apologetic though and it doesn’t put me off going again as I know dogs don’t get along and I had my dog lying on my feet the whole way there. The dogs were great though after that and didn’t bother us at all.

Me gustó: Awesome hosts, perfect location for finding dipping pools. Working farm with all the morning sounds, lots of farm animals and friendly dogs. Great to wake up to stunning views and amazing memories made! We will be back to explore more of this beautiful landscape and tick off another Wainright! The family could not do enough to help.

No me gustó: Nothing, once you get over the basic ness , no electricity (we stayed in the little garden house) and a few little critters - it just got better! Cold shower 1.00 for 5 mins but that’s what was needed after a great sun shiny day. Need to take your own bottom sheet and bedding then it’s snug. Cannot moan at all the owners do everything to help - wonderful family.

Me gustó: Location was great for Helvellyn, Ravencragg and plenty of other walks. Really peaceful and quiet site with fab views. Cafe round the corner with great cakes and drinks. Pub round down the road too. Basic site but that added to its charm.

No me gustó: Donkey with the loudest eee awww woke up one morning 😂 No phone signal or wi-if buy we knew this beforehand and made sure we brought a book and downloaded some films. Also cafe had WiFi.

Me gustó: Beautiful setting. Surrounded by lovely livestock. Short walk to a lovely pub. Lady owner lovely made to feel very welcome. Could get fresh eggs bread and milk on the farm.

Me gustó: Lovely place and lovely people. Very friendly and well placed with beautiful surroundings. We will be returning to hear in the future
