Me gustó: Very peaceful, a lovely little campsite which I am guessing is up and coming. Don't be put off by the porter cabin style showers and toilets. They are kept very clean and nice hot water. Owner is very friendly and helpful. No extra charge for awnings or pup tent and no set pitch. We stayed in the woodlands bit which was hard standing only but there are other areas which have grass pitches. Campfires allowed in off ground in a firepit. Logs available to buy you just need to ask and they do hire out the firepits if you don't have one. The fee you pay is straightforward and no hidden costs. Overall absolutely loved it

No me gustó: Nothing to dislike from my point of view. But no electric hook up might be an issue for some people. There are facilities to keep ice packs in a freezer for your cool box. If you're wanting WiFi this won't be for you but personally I'm all for going off grid and being surrounded by nature. If you're the sort of camper that wants TV, internet and regimented neat pitches you probably won't like this. But if you like chilled out, relaxing, birdsong and nature, like us, you will love it.

Me gustó: Clean ,spacious site , great little kids playing area in the middle of the field , which was great for people with kids 😀 the owner drove round later on in the afternoon to see if you wanted firepit or wood ! Very relaxed , family run site 😎 very rural not much around ! So self contained

Me gustó: Great location and fantastic welcome by the owners. The owner actually went out of his way to drop me and my partner over to the pub for an evening meal! Even offered to pick us up after if we ran out if energy on our bikes coming back.. (Thankfully we made it) Top man! We will defo be back soon. The wild garlic is awesome here, grows everywhere.

Me gustó: Great site! Andrew from the office always had time for a chat and nothing was ever to much trouble! Facilities were basic but very clean! We will definitely be back!

Me gustó: Absolutely loved this campsite, a real family friendly site. We opted for a quieter pitch away from the main field. We stayed in Primrose woodland, hard standing pitch. It was lush. The sky was so clear, if you love star gazing and get a clear night this place is perfect (my photo does not do it justice) Fires roaring, and the sounds of nature! What more could you want. The toilets are cleaned constantly. The owner did his rounds with fire pits and logs if needed and he was so friendly. We will definitely return. :)

Me gustó: The kids loved the ride on available to play with. The fact you could burn your own wood on fire puts but there was wood available to purchase if you needed more. Friendly, helpful staff

Me gustó: Lovely spot. Great for families! Big play area in the middle so you can always keep an eye on the kids. Been twice and campers are really respectful at bedtime. Lots of families. Lois/showers regularly cleaned.

Me gustó: We’ve just returned from a weekend break at primrose park, for anybody thinking of booking I’d highly recommend. The site is really relaxed and friendly. Camp fires are welcome, you can hire one for a small fee for the duration of your stay. I wish I’d have read the description/information before packing for the weekend. We could have saved space by leaving ours at home as you can also purchase fire wood on site. We stayed on the gravel pitch with beck view, although you can’t see the beck from the pitch you can hear it, it’s just a two minute walk to the beck which is really pretty if you are wanting to check it out. There is a toilet block on site, pot washing stations and a couple of shower cubicles. We did read a couple of negative reviews before booking regarding the showers been cold, I’m really glad we didn’t let that deter us as we had two showers daily that were lovely and warm. The site is dog friendly and family friendly and seemed to be really versatile, We stayed in a tent box on a touring pitch (beck view) which was really peaceful and tranquil, the field looked mainly occupied by families, it was lovely to see the children playing football or playing on their bikes, being kids and enjoying the great outdoors. The site is a 20 minute drive from Gisburn forest and stocks reservoir. if you decide to venture out there is a lovely little bistro called the old vicarage tea room which serves the tastiest pies and an amazing Sunday dinner. There is also a bike hire company attached to the side of it which has plenty of bikes to chose from if you’re wanting to go off exploring. it took us 7 minutes to drive to the tea rooms one day, and 30 minutes to walk to it another day.
