Lower Wraxall Farmhouse

A aimé : Very qwaint little hut, cosy and warm, away from all the hustle and bustle but only half an hour away from the coast and other places so perfect for us. Had fresh milk and hot drinks available so it was a blessing when we finally arrived in the dark and wet. Bed was super comfy although positioned so you need to climb over the other person if you're on the inside, but other than that, great. Lovely shower but bathrooms very small, not a problem for us though, soap, towels etc all supplied. The location is opposite the farmhouse in the old forge, don't do what we did and follow the sat nav!! We had a rather traumatic experience down a farming lane in the dark and rain. Dog towel and blanket also provided which was so helpful, lots of space outside for the dog, gutted I didn't get a chance to use the outside bath or fire pit. Will definitely come back! Oh and had a lovely bottle of bubbly for our anniversary waiting too, such a lovely touch 😊

N'a pas aimé: Apart from the position of the bed, everything else was absolutely great!! Could have done with a couple of games or books and/or a small TV above the bed for bad weather days/evenings but we went and bought some cards so kept busy on the evening anyway.

A aimé : Lovely clean and well appointed Shepherd's hut and garden. The fairy lights outside made it feel cozy even in bad weather. The outdoor bath was a great addition! The homemade bread and eggs from the farm were a thoughtful touch.. good location too :)

N'a pas aimé: Nothing really.. the bed was a little on the hard side for us but everyone's different.. and maybe some games and a pack of cards in the hut would have been a nice addition, as we did have one day of very bad weather all day.. luckily I brought my laptop so we were able to watch some films in bed :) Would love it if the price was a little lower than £90 per night as it was quite expensive for us.

A aimé : Beautiful location. Hut very clean and tidy. Nice outside lights around the entrance to the hut. Out door bath superb. Fire pit and bbq supplied.very nice touch.

N'a pas aimé: No tv. Could do with a toaster.

A aimé : Loved the seclusion, peace and quiet great place to just switch off.Hosts were lovely and left you to your peace but were on hand if needed. Nothing quite like waking up to a beautiful view and wildlife outside your window ..... cabin was so cozy and clean. Great little hideaway to recharge..

A aimé : Such a beautiful place to stay!!! Peaceful and surrounded by nature 😊 Judy is the hostess with the mostest! Greeted us on arrival and told us about things to visit in the area. Loved all the details in the hut it has been put together so well it made for a perfect retreat from city life.

A aimé : Hostess Judy very friendly, helpful and cooked the most amazing breakfast. Beech hut is cosy , in a lovely spot and has everything you need for a few days away.

A aimé : Beech Hut was the ideal location and accommodation for my little autumn retreat with Paisley my Cockerpoo. Nestled in it’s own garden, in very quiet Lower Wraxall it was perfect. Loved the decor, loved the comfy bed! The bath tub out back is an inspired idea and on an autumn night, watching the stars in a warm bubble bath was magical. Very kind of the owner to leave some home made apple cake for me, delicious! The log burner was lovely.

N'a pas aimé: Just small things really, the path to the bath tub in the dark is a little precarious, maybe a little red light that won’t spoil the star gazing would just make the experience a little safer, or perhaps something that could be switched off once you are in the bath, or maybe a torch. Also, though I could manage and the owner offered, lifting the microwave from under the bed is a little challenge, however the microwave is so much more than a microwave! it was a really good idea for the hut. Could do with more info on pitch up website, like there are towels provided, basic toiletries etc, just be helpful to know when packing.

A aimé : Really loved the tranquil location, in it’s own enclosed garden area , very safe for dogs. The shepherds hut had every thing we needed for our stay, can’t believe you could get so much in and still have space. From the moment we arrived Judy made us very welcome with a beautiful vase of cut flowers to a box of fresh egg. She gave us lots of ideas of where to eat and where to visit. Sitting by the fire pit under the fairy lights with a glass of wine, perfect way to end the day. Morning cuppa out side watching the woodpeckers on the feeder what a great way to start the morning. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas, we spent the time exploring the beautiful villages and great beaches recommended by Judy. Lots of great food pubs nearby, you do need a car to visit them though. Would defiantly recommend staying there.
