Roches Campervan and Campsite

A aimé : Exceptional set up including great facilities I.e toilets, common area the food van and coffee dock are a fabulous extra. Live music was a great unwind for the evening. Hosts were very friendly went out if there way to accommodate all needs. Will be booking again.

N'a pas aimé: NOTHING. by far was the best campsite myself and partner have been too along with our group of friends.

A aimé : I liked that they had a coffee dock and the comunal area is nice enough. The live music on the Sat & Sun was great craic for the kids. It has a fantastic view of the estuary.

N'a pas aimé: I was very disappointed on the first night when the electricity went out by about 9pm. My children were freezing and couldn’t sleep as the heater I had brought couldn’t be used. I was told that the issue with electricity was being dealt with, but the electricity only came on at lower voltage and not sufficient to run the necessary equipment. So very little sleep was had.Then on Saturday night again the power cut out and from midnight onwards it was fully off. My children and I were freezing cold and couldn’t sleep at all. As a result I had to take the decision to cut the trip short and bring my children home on Sunday, after 2 sleepless, uncomfortable nights. We were very disappointed to have to leave but it was entirely unviable to stay on. The campsite was not at full capacity so I don’t know how it will operate at the height of the season. It’s entirely unsatisfactory and I definitely would not be recommending your campsite to others. The shower facilities were adequate and the toilets needed more freaquent cleaning. Be prepared to sleep at an incline. There are not many level spots on this site.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Carlo Geminiani and your friend Dinesh Vather both made the wrong accommodation choice for May Bank Holiday weekend. Camping is with camping electric supply for camping equipment with low wattage not for dual airfryers household heaters & kettles bring the right clothing & camping sleeping bags hot water bottles thats real camping not household appliances to keep tripping electric for everyone. Man beside you both was complaining about your dual airfryers as pulling from his electric all he wanted to do is blow up bed & charge phone. Why didn't you both come to us before departure to discuss your complaints? Or maybe you feel better writing a bad review to knock our family buisness we are proud of and work very hard to run well. We rang our own bookings we had taken for May bank holiday weekend to tell them the ground is wet after a week of WET weather to give them a choice as what to do there replies were we will bring the right clothes & blankets to suit the weather as the children are so excited for this can't disapoint. Some guests rang and changed dates due to weather did you not think of that the ground was going to be cold temperatures very low at night in early May. Regarding our toilets it is very untrue your comments they are well serviced & we had plenty of staff on for the weekend including all our family to be truthful its hurtful when the guests make wrong choices leave us with intentions to give a bad review and look for a refund for €38.25 a night with live entertainment coffee dock & food van bottle recycling & waste bins all on site. It was not full to capacity as we made decision early in the week to stop taking bookings because of very very wet weather our site would have been in a mess we even had to keep cars of site. We actually turned down a lot of bookings to save site for a very short season for our buisness.

A aimé : Super location and probably the most friendly campsite we’ve been to in a long time. Great atmosphere and the food/drink cart was super. Added bonus of on-site entertainment too. Would highly recommend this campsite.

N'a pas aimé: Limited toilet/shower facilities but what was there was spotless and very clean.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you great review glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We have two blocks of toilets and showers block 1 main area two toilets two showers. Block 2 four toilets and 5 showers.

A aimé : I recently stayed at this campsite and had a fantastic experience! The location was beautiful. The owners and the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the live music events added an extra layer of entertainment to the camping experience. However, I would recommend that campers refrain from bringing air fryers to the site, as it caused problems and shortages of electricity. Despite this issue, the staff worked quickly to resolve it. Overall, I highly recommend this campsite for a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience, but please leave the air fryers at home to avoid any further complications.

N'a pas aimé: Electrical issues for the whole weekend. Power kept tripping. Due to the nature of the site there is no flat ground to pitch. No playground for the kids.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you Dinesh Vather for reviewing our site over the very busy May bank holiday weekend when the after dodgy weather start then the 🌤came out saved the day. We are glad you enjoyed the great views & entertainment 🎶. We have pleny of electric for tents ⛺️ but not for airfryers double ones 🙈 house hold kettles🙈 heaters 🙈 we can supply for camping kettles and camping heaters different voltage. We had other guests in electric tent ⛺️ pitches who were annoyed to see their neighbours using double airfryer pulling from their supply of electric they were using to blow up a bed & charge a phone. You did say to me that you stayed on sites where you could use airfryer & heater with no issue of power cutting out. I recommend you go on to the camping sites and list them as we had at least up to 7 airfryers in tents over the busy weekend that we knew of so it will help people to book these sites that allows airfryers ect as we can not on our site. Lastly we do have plenty of flat pitches with the hill where children love rolling down playing football meeting new friends singing dancing eating ice cream crab fishing happy smiling no devices in their hands old school happy days making your own fun.

A aimé : Stunning views over the estuary, a great outdoor/covered area to sit. Friendly and helpful site owners, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
