Glamping in Lincolnshire

With a long sweeping coastline and a huge expanse of rural land to its name, it’s no surprise that Lincolnshire makes an excellent base for an outdoor break. If you’ve ever fancied flinging open the tent doors to find views over the sea, or stoking a campfire while looking out at green and rolling farmland, this is a great place to do it.

If you’re new to the outdoor life or maybe want to step up the comfort factor of your usual camping break, why not opt for a Lincolnshire glamping break? That way you can mix up the fresh air of camping with the convenience of knowing you have a comfy place to spend the night.

Our collection of Lincolnshire glamping sites has something for everyone, from little lodges made for two through to spacious bell tents that are just right for a family adventure.

Where you should stay in Lincolnshire

  • The coast is one of Lincolnshire’s main draws, especially if you head towards one of the classic seaside resorts like Skegness or Ingoldmells. They’re particularly great for family glamping holidays given their safe sandy beaches and kid-friendly attractions – look out for holiday parks with a play area or a pool to make sure you’ve got entertainment on hand on site too.

  • Much of Lincolnshire is pleasingly flat, which makes it an attractive option for walking and cycling holidays that don’t require super-human levels of fitness. If you do fancy a slightly bigger challenge, glamping near Louth puts you within easy reach of the slopes of the Lincolnshire Wolds as well as some great coastal walks.

  • That open space also makes this a great area for those travelling with dogs – you’ll have miles of walks on your doorstep and plenty of pubs and attractions that welcome dogs. Find a comfy place for yourself and your canine pal to sleep by searching for dog-friendly Lincolnshire glamping sites, perhaps somewhere near a dog-friendly beach like Chapel St Leonards so you can all have a splash in the sea?

  • This peaceful rural county makes a great destination for quiet couples’ glamping holidays – you could spend your days exploring the streets of Lincoln, poking about in market towns like Caistor or picking up farm shop goodies for a splendid barbecue. To make it nicely cosy, pick something compact like a shepherd’s hut – or maybe go big on the luxury element by looking for a site with a hot tub.

  • Lots of of our Lincolnshire glamping sites have their own fishing lakes on site, and there are also options for angling in local rivers or off the coast. All of this adds up to a great location for a fishing holiday – use the filters to find a glamping location with fishing on site, and pick a solid structure like a camping pod, lodge or log cabin to stay warm outside of the main summer season.

What to do in Lincolnshire

  • Along the Lincolnshire coast are beaches of all varieties, so you should be able to find something that appeals to your tastes. Family favourites like Cleethorpes, Skegness and Mablethorpe are great if you’re bringing the kids as they’ve got plenty of amusements like crazy golf and donkey rides, but you can also find glamping accommodation near wilder stretches like Moggs Eye and Anderby Creek if you’d like a quieter experience.

  • Both the rural landscapes and the coast harbour some great wildlife-spotting areas – bring your binoculars for birdwatching at Gibraltar Point nature reserve or to see the seals at Donna Nook National Nature Reserve. If you don’t manage to see them there, a trip to Natureland Seal Sanctuary will definitely provide results.

  • If your tastes skew towards historic attractions, use your glamping break to take days out at Gunby Hall, Burghley House and Belton Hall, or try trips to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and International Bomber Command Centre for a dip into 20th-century history.

All of our Lincolnshire glamping sites are different in their style, features and location, and the best way to find one that suits you is to use our filters to choose the features that matter to you – perhaps somewhere with a bar on site or a dog park for your furry friend?
