Didwell Farm Campsite

Ik was blij met: Absolutely wonderful campsite. Thought of everything - the barn area which provides the use of a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities AS WELL as sockets to give your phone that battery boost - was wonderful. Spacious campsite, lovely owners and beautiful views. The best compostable loo’s we’ve ever used (and we’ve used a fair few in both the UK and around the word!). Farmer Rob said he did his research when it came to the loos and his important separator from Holland worked a treat for minimising any kind of smell!!

Ik was blij met: Lots of space. Clean showers, toilets etc. Great views. Plenty of room in fridges and freezer.

Ik was blij met: The views are spectacular, and the facilities are very clean and available. There are only two toilets and two showers, but there was never a long wait as they limit the number of people on site. The owners are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to help. The site has a wonderful vibe and is great for those who prefer back to basics camping with a few cheeky amenities, like a fridges, freezers, kettles, charging points, a microwave and sparklingly clean showers. So not that basic at all! It's within easy reach of stunning beaches and walks along the coast. There is a town about 15 minutes drive away. Just perfect.

Ik was blij met: Absolutely everything!! The site is well looked after and kept spotlessly clean, the only time it seemed that you had to wait for one of the two very functional compost toilets was when they were being cleaned! The barn is a wonderful place to just chill and meet other parents and children, and have a cup of the complimentary tea. It's well stocked with fridges, freezers, a microwave and charging points. I was holidaying on my own with my 5-year old grandson and he was able to have the run of the whole site in complete safety. All the other campers were lovely people so thanks to them as well for making our holiday so relaxed and enjoyable. One word of caution - like in much of South Devon the lanes leading to the site and to the local beaches are very narrow so make sure you know the width of your car! NB: The mobile signal on the site is really good if you're on Vodafone but pits if you're on Three (I took two phones one on each), there is no wifi but you can run a hotspot if needed. The owners are also happy for you to use firepits as well as BBQs as long as they are raised off the ground (they provide bricks to do this).

Ik was blij met: The facilities were impeccably clean, we liked that they recycle thee too, as many sites don't. The tea and coffee, fridge etc in the kitchen area was a life saver! It was nice and quiet, our dog who is usually anxious was so chilled there. The star gazing was insane, we xould see the milky way! We'd love to return again next summer

Ik was blij met: The cups of tea and access to the kettle and microwave. The campsite had stunning views and was very well located near some stunning beaches and coves. The hosts were really friendly and kept everything so clean. Loved the showers and compost loos too … WE LOVED IT ALL!
