Harvest Moon Holidays is uniquely situated by the magnificent beach on Lochhouses Farm, next to John Muir Country Park, east of Edinburgh. This coastal paradise between North Berwick and Dunbar has less rain and more sunshine than any other part of the UK according to travel guides. From a high tree-lined ridge at the site, guests can enjoy extensive views over the beach and its dunes. The glamping units have wood-burning stoves, en-suite toilets and hot showers. There is also a farm shop, a communal barbecue and a firepit as well as a mini farm with chickens, ducks, bunnies, lambs and ponies, very popular with the kids.

By road from Edinburgh Take the city bypass signposted to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Exit at the second exit for Haddington. At the roundabout take the second exit to East Linton on the A199. Go past East Linton and take the A198 to North Berwick, Tyninghame and Whitekirk. When you see Stewarts Turf sign turn right at the corner (Lochhouses sign), and go straight down until you reach the farmhouse. By trains Travel to Dunbar Station on the main East coast line and only 10 minutes by taxi from the farm, or from Edinburgh Waverley Station (Scotrail service) on the line to North Berwick station, which is only 10 minutes away by taxi. By bus There are regular buses from Edinburgh (Ferrymans) to Haddington, East Linton, Dunbar and North Berwick.

There is plenty of local attractions too including East Links Family Park, Whitekirk Golf Course, go-karting, Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick and the new wakeboarding Centre at Foxlake next door, as well as many more attractions for all ages.
