Fra bestyreren: I’m very sorry that you did not enjoy your night here. You possibly were unable to read the ‘out of order’ sign on the toilet as this was blocked, but as you were travelling in a self contained vehicle (this is who we cater for) this should not have been a problem for you. I’m not sure where you were roaming on the farm to find mud, even though it is west coast summer here so we have plenty of rain, I can’t think of any place on the farm currently that has any mud with the exception of the gateway in to the horses field, which is where you most certainly should not have been. With regard to your comment of not being worth the money - £12 (of which we receive £9.59) for a safe off road place to park up, with waste disposal facilities, water and a lovely view along with safe space for your children to play and run free and lots of lovely friendly animals to see is not a lot of money to pay. It is very sad that leaving such a review will likely have a long term impact on the business.

Likte: Good location for access to Skye and surrounding area. Fairly cheap compared with others in the area.

Likte ikke: The toilets were in a state and by the next morning both were blocked. Road noise. Had booked for two nights but just stayed for one.

Likte: Back to basics . Lovely setting with mountains around. Nice even pitch. Great for a one nighter. Relaxing.

Likte: What an amazing peaceful spot. My son enjoyed running freely around and making fire. Very kind children who came to the farm to look after horses.

Likte: Laid back basic site on working farm. No ehu, basic loo block and waste facilities. Owner let us use paddock to run the dog. No frills, good price, near Skye bridge crossing.

Likte: The quiet and relaxing atmosphere, felt safe and clean toilets close by to our pitch. Lovely surroundings and nice to hear all the birds and see the horses in the field.

Likte: Convenient stop after leaving Skye. Road is not visible (but close enough to hear). No check-out time.

Fra bestyreren: Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and I’m glad you appreciate the location. Unfortunately I think you have misunderstood our signage on-site - the £5 charge is not an extra charge for using the facilities on top of your stay. When you stay over the use of all facilities is included in the total £12 that you pay for your pitch. The £5 charge is for anyone who isn’t staying over - it is a fee for passing Motorhomes to pop in just to empty their waste tank and rubbish and take on water. We’re very proud to be able to offer this service in an area with very limited infrastructure catering for the self contained Motorhome/campervan sector and it is a very welcomed and well Used facility for this service. I’m really sorry that you misunderstood this, and if you put an extra £5 in the honesty box when you were here I’m happy to send that back to you if you’d like to make direct contact.
