Tetbury Camping at The Holford Arms

Gostou: Great area, loved the arboretum and local walks. Pitches a decent size and pub has good food and ale.

Não gostou: Showers are a bit erratic and we couldn’t get to the water tap - too overgrown. The grass strimming in the morning was a bit insensitive.

Gostou: Lovely camp site, well marked pitches, toilet and shower block, and washing up area all perfectly good. The pub itself was excellent, really great food, lovely staff and a really warm welcome. Sitting by the woodburner on the sofa after our evening meal was great. The outside areas was nice too, loads of room, outdoor fire-pit as well.

Não gostou: Not all the toilet/shower units have locks on the doors.

Gostou: Mature shrubs around the camp ground.

Não gostou: Unfortunately, this campsite fell short of expectations. Difficulty finding the entrance due to poor signage and no provided map made navigation harder than it needed to be. Confusing check-in policy in the pub, arrivals after 4pm yet no vehicle movements after 4pm. Go figure. Despite higher prices, facilities felt inadequate, with showers lacking temperature control, hooks for clothing, ventilation or basic hygiene. Excessive noise from children went unchecked, disrupting the supposed adult-only atmosphere (child using car horn repeatedly). Overall, despite the lovely grounds this campsite is clearly an afterthought for the pub. More care and attention is needed to warrant higher prices and to make it a place I’d return to. I can see why it wasn’t fully booked on the sunny bank holiday now.

Gostou: Welcoming staff at the pub, nice food & lovely outdoor area.

Gostou: Very quiet, level site, lots of trees and orchards. Electric hookup. The pub is very nice with great food offered in the evenings. Very handy for the National Arboretum.

Não gostou: Lack of water taps for filling the van. Didn't seem to be any chemical toilet emptying facilities. Bit of an "end of season" feel. Nothing else.

Gostou: Nice orchard with full of fruits.

Não gostou: Long queue (for drinks/ meals by wedding attendees) at check in which was at the pub’s beer taps. Forgot to ask for the wi-if password. Water is not always warm in the shower. Annoying level of clubmusic was on all night long in a nearby location. Only the pouring rain hushed it at 5:45am.

Gostou: Perfect location and only 25 minutes drive from where I live. A great pub with lovely view. It’s a shame we can’t have a bbq or a small bonfire in the evenings. There was no light/ fairy lights so I did get quite dark with one small lantern torch. Had a very fun night with my friends there 😊

Gostou: The orchards are lovely. Pub grub reasonable

Não gostou: Where do I start! The lack of signage at the pub meant we missed the entrance "wedding parking " plaque only. Once we managed to find the entrance no signage indicating where to go. In desperation I went into the pub which turned out to be the check in. Was given an inaccurate map of the facilities. One disgusting fresh water tap nowhere near the pitches and difficult to find. Debris, used vapes etc scattered around. Unable to find the toilet waste disposal. The toilets and shower facilities are probably the worst I've seen in years. Not clean, some lights not working. Washing up facilities outside so if it rained it's would not be the dishes that got wet. We decided that it was not worthwhile staying so left.

Gostou: Loved the pitch and the ambiance of the site which was very relaxed. Great having the pub with wonderful food and atmosphere. Site had toilets, showers, washing up facilities, water and electricity.

Não gostou: The difficulty of filling the motorhome water tank due to the position of the taps, one was in accessible due to size of access, the second was at the top of the pub garden and customers where in the garden, including children so not ideal. The shower/toilet facilities are rustic and difficult to clean No waste water disposal point

Gostou: Beautiful green site, individividual van pitches are separated by hedge screens, excellent pub. Styayed 5 nights while on a course at westonbirt - 40 minutes walk across fields and woods

Não gostou: might feel cramped if all pitches are taken
