St Audries Bay Holiday Club

Gostou: This was a lovely, quiet site with great views of the sea. For me though, the highlight was the heated indoor swimming pool, which I used every morning. The pool was one of the warmest that I have ever been in and was spotlessly clean. A booking system had just been introduced to use the pool and while we were there it was not busy. The toilet and shower facilities for the campsite were well maintained, although during busy periods having only 2 toilets may result in queues. The touring sites were gravel and reasonably level with a good sized pitch of grass alongside each one for an awning.

Não gostou: The site would benefit from a drive over motorhome emptying point.

Gostou: Nice location with easy access and lovely views at the base of the Quantock hills. The toilet and shower block were always clean and warm.

Não gostou: Very dissapointed not to have been told in advance that there is currently no direct access to the beach. You have to get in the car and pay to park elsewhere. The single most attractive feature when we made our booking was the beach access. I was there to relax and enjoy regular leisurely walks on the beach with the dogs.

Gostou: Great campsite. All facilities were clean and tidy. Plenty to do for children and adults. Dogs friendly and happy for our furry friends to join us in the bar/food hall. Will be returning for another stay soon.

Gostou: The pitch size was good and we had a corner pitch which was great. Toilets were nice and clean and actually warm. It’s so nice to have a warm room to get out the shower in as you don’t get that very often. We had a drink at the bar which was lovely with the view and we also went for a walk through the forest over the road which was really nice.

Não gostou: The steps were still broken to the beach and this was the main reason we booked this site so we were slightly disappointed.

Gostou: Nice pitches, lovely views, peaceful. Good facilities. Friendly staff. Great for families with the swimming pool and a lovely play area for kids. Also a secure dog walking area…..not huge…but big enough to throw a ball or for the dogs to have a good sniff around.

Não gostou: No access to beach and coastal path on foot (not the sites fault, can’t help storm damage and cliff erosion) sadly for us this meant we would have had to drive and once set up in our MH we prefer not to and will book sites that have access to walks. We ended up staying for one night and then moving to another site close by.

Gostou: Everything, friendly staff, nice bar/restaurant, nice clean site & showers. Enclosed area to let dogs off leads. Sea view from most areas of the site. Didn’t use indoor swimming pool or tennis courts but good to have the option. Lots of things to do on site, games rooms included pool, air football, arcade machines. Board games on loan from bar.

Gostou: Clean and bar was open often

Não gostou: Booked this purely on the steps to the beach. Disappointed that they had been closed for 4 weeks and no phone call prior to arrival that these were closed for repair as I would have cancelled. No signs of a any repairs being done and kids going will be disappointed.

Gostou: Lovely views

Não gostou: Very disappointed access to beach was closed. We realise this is due to coastal erosion but wish we had been given the option to rebook/cancel as we were staying in an 8m Motorhome which is not easy to visit the surrounding areas. The whole point of our stay was to park and walk from the site. No access to coast path shown on OS map? Not able to walk East or West as access blocked. Felt very trapped. No WIFI available on touring pitches. Shower block facilities limited when touring pitches are full.

Gostou: Really well run site with enthusiastic team. Swimming pool a gem if the sun doesn’t shine!
