Gostou: The views were absolutely stunning. The drive up goremans lane is so so nice driving to and from the site. The pitches are big enough that you feel private on your pitch and being able to hire a fire pit is a nice touch. Not too far from interesting things like the 7 sisters and Brighton.

Gostou: Beautiful views and really lovely to be able to just rock up and pitch. Vet no frills which I loved. Really great customer service to. We were greeted, and even had the chance to buy / hire a camp fire and logs. Great value for money and really close to Brighton for a fish and chip detour on the way home! Cant wait to come back.

Não gostou: The pitches do seem to be pretty close to other campers. This could have been because our neighbours had particularly large set ups. No rubbish disposal on site is the only thing I think I would change.

Gostou: Peaceful site with beautiful views. Facilities were great and spotless. Toilet waste and an ash pile which was very useful. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Great signage to the site from the main road. You are really left alone to enjoy the views and sound of skylarks everywhere. The eggs from the farm are out of this world - prob the best eggs I’ve ever had - the most incredible vibrant yellow yolks so clearly free range! It’s a lovely walk down to the coast surrounded by nature - takes a good 45 mins but so worth it for the views out to sea. It was quite busy when I went but you still felt in the middle of nowhere and it was incredibly peaceful.

Do gestor: Hi Richard, Am glad you enjoyed the location of our site but because it is on the top of the downs in an area of natural outstanding beauty we are of course restricted on how many facilities we can provide and we do advertise the facilities as basic. Having said this what we have got is modern, exceptionally clean and always stocked with toilet roll, soap and hand towels so I am not really sure what you mean by the comment they are not up to much?

Gostou: Everything, lovely location with plenty of walks, very friendly owner who was so helpful and pleasant, extremely clean facilities, plenty of space

Não gostou: The wind. It was blowing a gale and we bravely attempted to put up our tent. Even pegging down the footprint was a challenge, but half way putting up the tent in the raging gale a tentpole split, so we had to abandon the holiday. Unfortunately the woman who came round in her car to check us in would not offer us any refund, so we’ll hopefully come back another time to spend our credit note (if they give us one) when the weather is more welcoming.

Do gestor: It is a shame that this customer has based their rating on the fact that they were unfortunate that their tent became damaged while trying to erect it in strong winds, which they did at the most exposed area of the site. The rating given has not been based on the quality of the camp site at all. We have a no refund policy unless we have to close. This is clearly stated and is pretty standard for all campsites. We do how ever always offer customers to defer their booking to an alternative date and we were very clear that we were happy to do this. The customer even asked if they could defer to next year and were told that this was not a problem and this has duly been noted in our booking diary.
