Gostou: Excellent location, a few mins walk to shops pubs etc Lots of parking, basic facilities, toilets, fresh water, grey water dumping, electricity.

Gostou: To be honest not a great deal to like ...location close to shops and pubs etc. And fairly level.

Não gostou: Was basically gravel area with very little else. Have stopped in better car parks. One toilet which was damp and in need of repairs. No showers as expected but no washing facilities either. Electric was very limited at 4amps. No staff on site. Not secure as advertised.

Do gestor: Dear Chez, We would like to clarify that our site is not a campsite it is an Aire de Services which if you have experience of travelling on the continent you will know is a 'parking area with basic services' such as EHU, fresh water, chemical toilet and waste water. An Aire does not provide any other services such as toilets, showers or wash up facilities. However we do provide toilets and the basic services and we price accordingly. We are very clear in the description on the Pitch Up website as to what we provide and what we do not. Again for your information we provide 6amp electric hook up which will generally run anything 12V, it will not run a hairdryer or domestic/house kettle. Because it is off season the area is very quite and there is no reason for 24/7 staff or security on site therefore staff come and go to the site during the day. The managers phone number is clearly visible at the entrance if a guest needs to make contact.

Gostou: I was very ill whilst here and the owners couldn’t do enough for us. Walking distance from the small town centre, has everything you could reasonably require

Gostou: The wife and level site, with plenty of room at each pitch. It is just off the Main Street so we were able to go and enjoy a meal In a very nice bar. The toilet block on the site was very clean and perfectly adequate. We were able to add electric hook up once we arrived, which was great. A large field to walk our dog was appreciated. We would definitely recommend this site.

Gostou: Nothing didn’t even stay.

Não gostou: Everything, this was a totally uninviting site. I was aware it had no facilities but COME ON!!! Talk about a dump. If I were pitch up I would ditch this place from my site without delay. Do not stay there even for free!

We are a small business and reviews are so important to us because we can improve what we offer. We feel your review is very unfair as you don't say anywhere what specifically you hated so much so I'm afraid it is impossible for us to work on improving things. You even give a rating in your review for Wifi but as per our description we DO NOT PROVIDE WIFI, sorry felt I also have to use caps somewhere in my response just to compete with your review. Regarding the lack of facilities as you put it, our site is not a campsite it is an Aire de Services which if you have experience of travelling on the continent, well anywhere really, you will know is a 'parking area with services' such as EHU, fresh water, chemical toilet and waste water and we do provide these basic services and price accordingly. Our site is specifically targeted at campervans/motorhomes who have their own on board toilet facilities however in addition to the basic services we also provide toilets but we do not provide showers and this is very clearly stated in the description on the Pitch Up website therefore it would be very beneficial going forward Andrew for you to actually read the description first as it is clear what is provided and what is not.

Gostou: Didn't like a lot about the site, good sized pitches. Great meal at the Bake House restaurant on the main street,a two minute walk away.

Gostou: Lag auf der Strecke ohne Umweg.

Não gostou: Trostloser Stellplatz mit Toiletten unter Wasser, unfreundlicher Empfang, keine Duschen, kein Müll zum entsorgen. Nicht am Pub.

Do gestor: Thank you Yanick Tremblay for your review. We apologise for your poor experience with us, we do clean the toilets several times daily. Unfortunately sometimes guests leave the toilets in an unpleasant state and we may not get back to clean them immediately. We do provide more than 'dirty toilets', we provide electricity hook up, chemical toilet, grey water for disposing of waste water and you can also take on fresh water. We have security gates and night time security lighting and we do price low and accordingly.
