Banish any visions of a stressy holiday stuck in hot cars and slow traffic out of your head… At North Shore Holiday Centre, a family-friendly Lincolnshire site 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Skegness, you won’t have to travel far to stay busy once you arrive. North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There’s tons to keep you busy on site too: play a round of miniature golf, perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, have a go at bowls or boules, try out the arcade games and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

喜欢: Good sized pitches, the toilet/shower block was maintained well and always clean, site seemed secure with barrier access that required an access card that you also used to access toilet/shower blocks. Grass and greenery well maintained. Good location between ingoldmells and Skegness

不喜欢: Only having 1 key card as there were 4 people and if one went to the toilet/shower the other had to wait until they were back.

喜欢: The booking in price was very good for the 3 nights on line. The short walk to the beech was ideal for the dogs . The fish and chips shop down the road was very good coop and b@m was only a short walk way .local pub was very nice and served very nice food white horse.

不喜欢: Well having to worry about the electric I used was something I was not expecting it was an Holliday I didn't expect to be worrying about bills . Thay gives you a card with 15 pound on a card to used and it used it like a flash very expensive electric on this site I guess your paying for the pub and shop and the offices .having to take the card to use a toilet or the showers is laughable but any tom dick and he's dog can walk into the pub . Pitch size was very small you was very close to your neighbour. Also that the toilet block and the showers could do with an upgrade not enough bins on site for rubbish plus dog dins . Shop very over price

喜欢: Good location, well stocked onsite shop and nice, clean facilities! Also good selection of onsite amusements and club house - both of which were very dog friendly!

不喜欢: Pub expensive. £6 a pint. Other than that, nothing to dislike.

喜欢: Easy access onto clean towing pitch. Ample room. Immaculate shower block and 2 minute walk to all facilities

不喜欢: Expensive club house (£6.00 a pint] considering it was Easter holidays the Saturday entertainment consisted of a singer doing 1 30 minute spot [ finished at 9.30pm] then bingo and disco. Absoloute shambles but think of the £6.00 drinks saved.

Any stay at North Shore Holiday Centre should start with a thorough exploration of Skegness as there are loads of places within five minutes’ drive you’re going to want to add to the list. Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings. Screen one is home to an organ covered in 18th-century-style lacquered consoles and screen two has trompe l’oeil-style paintings of rural Lincolnshire on its walls.
