There are several reasons why Pear Tree Cottage at Poplar Farm place is so well-liked by its guests: proximity to the sea, wow-inducing views of the Lincolnshire Wolds and easy access to heaps of footpaths and bridleways that crisscross the local area and coastline. Hidden away down a private country lane and set in a level and well-maintained two-acre field, this smashing little hidey hole lies among peaceful coastal countryside and is a short drive away from several beaches and resorts along the Lincolnshire coast, including Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness, with the nearest – Huttoft – an easy mile away. For stuff to do nearby, a spectacular seafront golf course lies around two miles away, and if you’re of the horsey persuasion, this is a good spot to base yourself for hacks along the sand and coastal bridleways, as Lincolnshire County Council permits riding on all of its beaches. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a short drive away too for long hikes and bike rides. When you return to Poplar Farm after a long day of seeing and doing along this area’s stunning coastline, swing by Alford, around 15 minutes’ drive away, to pick up a few bits to throw on a barbecue back at base, or give yourself a break and stick around to dine out at one of several restaurants there. Among the amenities at the site are a bathroom block with toilets and showers, and a laundry room with a tourist information area.

喜欢: This site was a joy to stay at, the facilities were extremely clean and the grounds well looked after, nothing was to much trouble for the owners who were very helpful. Nice and quiet and close enough to all the shops and holiday places. Recommended to our friends and family. Thx

喜欢: Amazing peaceful site with a lovely helpful owner. Facilities spotless and like a luxury hotel! I booked another night because it was so nice. I think I might move in here! Love the tortoise statue in the garden!

喜欢: Everything about this site is top drawer. All facilities are spotlessly clean, even the Elsan point. Owners are super friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Location is perfect for beach walks, and visits to seaside towns nearby. Mobile signal is good, and there is Wi-Fi on pitch, just not strong enough to run Netflix etc. Pitches nice and level. Owners dogs friendly, and loved saying hello to our dog.

不喜欢: Not a dislike of the site, but the farm behind the site had bird scaring cannons going off which our nervous dog didn’t like. Was told by the site owner that he had complained to local council as they were going off far too early, (6:15am) Like I say, not a complaint about the site, just the surrounding area

This fab Lincolnshire Wolds setting gives you easy access to the beaches, nature reserves and public footpaths that make up the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, which stretches from Sandilands to Chapel St Leonards and inland to Hogsthorpe, Mumby, Anderby and Huttoft. Explore miles upon miles of quiet sandy beaches, bring your binoculars for birdwatching or just laze and gaze adoringly up at the wide open skies above. Be sure to bring your buckets and spades, because this is a splendid spot for a family beach break, with both Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beaches nearby for cheerful beachfront huts, plus Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness all within an easy half an hour’s drive away. For animal-themed days out with the kids, take them to the donkey sanctuary in Huttoft, Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary or Skegness Aquarium.
